Sheng Ramen Ballantyne

We got tonkotsu ramem, takoyaki, and karaage chicken rice bowl.

The ramen was okay 7/10, the soup was light, the chaasu and egg was 9/10.
We didn't add any extra toppings, but it had cabbage which i didn't mind except the rest of the meals we ordered also had cabbage which kinda felt like it was too much.

I was expecting the cabbage "salad" on the karaage rice bowl to be pickled but it was just plain unseasoned. The rice was plain.

The kaarage was "almost" like the karaage chicken from japan 8/10.

Takoyaki was dark brown/burnt?, the topping was only a soy-based sauce and bonito flakes. The octopus was small 5/10.

Literally the first time Ramen has ever filled me up. I've always liked Ramen but usually after eating Ramen, as a basic appetited over indulgent American, I eat another meal bc I'm not full. This place. Will. Fill. You. Up. Delicious and huge bowls. It took me like an hour (not exaggerating) to slurp the whole thing lol.

One of my favorite ramen places. The pork belly buns are the best.

I tried this cuisine for the first time, it was unexpectedly delicious, good menu, there is a children's menu, they managed to please my little daughter. I recommend it to everyone!

WOWZA! Talk about RIGHT PRICE AND AMAZING PORTION WITH GREAT TASTE! Don't ask for Xtra noodles, you won't need em! I swear my Ramen topped out at like 2lbs of noodles! Amazing deep and rich pork broth! Tons of fish cakes, great pork belly, and great pork buns! I cannot stress the facts that the price/portion/taste of this place is just above and beyond!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Agadashi tofu was very lightly breaded and not greasy. Vegetarian ramen delish. Seafood udon was excellent- not fishy. Highly recommend.

Serving was generous, but nothing special. The service was quick. The server was a little judgemental when asked for a fork. There were brooms, mops and cleaning supplies nearly blocking the hallway to the restrooms.
Probably fine for carry out, but I doubt we will return for dining in.

Vegetarian options: Not sure if vegetarian broth was available. But it probably is.
