We were on the road and we stopped at this place. The place looks old but it's cleaned. The server was nice and attentive. We decided to eat from the buffet. The Buffett is small. It has a side for salad and a side for the hot foods. The selection is small but filling. It has fried and grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, fish, bread, rice and other items. They were tasty but just don't expect anything out of the ordinary. For the price is fair and good.
They offer a buffet, or a menu. Prices are fairly cheap. The resturant is a bit rundown, and the food was okay.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. This place deserve a -100 grade. 1.Our server was bossing a young server and tried to argue in front of customers. 2. Our server was cleaning the seats with the same old broom used on the floor. The same rag cleaning the tables were used to clean the seats. 3. A server was eating a full plate while working and trying to eat so her manager can't see. She had a full mouth and went to grab 2 glass of water for customers and then started cleaning her mouth with her hands. 4. The seats are all rusted and torn. 5. Food was so cold and they had gotten mixed meaning they weren't changed. 6. Both utensil container near the food had so much food in it and all had spots of food on them. 7. The Chili was so old and tasteless that I'm sure it was warmed up again from the days before. 8. The menus were so greasy we could touch them. 9. We noticed the windows were so blurry and when I looked closer they were cleaned with a dirty rag they had stain marks on them and some windows had dust on them or on the frame meaning they weren't cleaned in a long time. 10. They were holding food near the cash register talking together and then taking the food to the customer. 11. Our server was talking to another server/manager and arguing about what she hasn't charged. I can go on and on of what I saw. This was our 3rd and final visit. I don't know if all Shoney's are like this but this restaurant needs serious reconstructing. Maybe it needs a better management system. If I was inspector I would close that place right that second I saw the girl bringing the 2 glass of water while still eating then cleaning her mouth with her hands and continue to work. I'm so glad we didn't get sick.
Cold, dull looking and dirty. I went with a group of three and we all received our drinks with bugs in them. The waitress apologize but then yells out about check the ice like this is a regular occurrence. TERRIBLY overpriced and some of the fruit sitting out has turned in which I had to tell the waitress that as well. The place just a gloomy feel once you walk in,
As a visitor from Georgia, this food was very lackluster. It's definitely not the same as the old Shoney's from back home. The buffet was lacking, the food was bland and undercooked, and the service left something to be desired.
