Rooftop vibes is the highlight of this cute spot. Perfect for a beach like cocktail or the daily drink special. I found the glasses of wine pricey for the selections they offer. I had $20 cocktail which was mostly ice. Sadly there is no food service available. The parking is tight but expected with so many businesses close together.Parking: Tight spaces when you park by the business. I could see alot of accidents in that area if you aren’t careful.

First I want to start and give the bartender the benefit of the doubt because it was St. Patrick’s day. However, I ordered 1 mocktail and then another mocktail with an added shot. The online prices show the mocktails we ordered to be $8 dollars each and a shot to be $8 dollars. My bill that wasn’t itemized showed I owed about $28. In the moment I thought it was a lot but in my head “I’m like okay it’s St. Patrick’s day maybe there is an up charge” (but I wouldn’t have known because there wasn’t any conversation or my bill being itemized). I did tip because the bartender was fine and I understand it’s a crazy holiday. My now total is about $33 which shows on my bill statement. I go to look at my card statement this morning and I was actually charged about $40. How did I spend over $20 each for 2 mocktails and a shot. I’m a huge fan of tiki bars. This was my first time going to a bar in Charlotte. I’m from Seattle and I understand going out for drinks can be expensive at times. However that was way too expensive for non alcoholic drinks. And I’ve never been charged more after I’ve paid for drinks. I unfortunately won’t be coming back.

Place is so dope!! Went out of curiosity and it was such a great experience. Tom was really great and attentive. Atmosphere is the best- rooftop with clear views to the city skyline. But the real bonus was the 90s Dancehall playing. My new favorite spot

I love tiki bars and The Royal Tot more than exceeds expectations. They have a wide variety of drinks and every drink has been tasty so far. My most recent bartender, Bryson, provided great service even though the bar was slammed.

i had high expectations for this place and maybe that’s where i went wrong. The place was very dead, we were the only people in the building however, we did come on a Thursday night and we came around 8pm which is a bit early. The drinks were pretty pricey in my opinion. $40 for 2 people & 2 drinks. we specifically got the tiki drinks because we were told they were $3 off on Thursday…come to find out after we had already purchased, they tell us it’s only on certain tiki’s which was not implied. the drinks were super watered down. lots of ice & hardly any liquor. The bartender was very friendly but I don’t think it’s worth the money and will not be returning.
