I have been dying to try this place for a while and was in the area today so I was excited to stop in! I am not sure what if I was 100% prepared for this place. First I will start off by saying the staff was very friendly!!! That was the biggest positive I can give for this place. Overall it was not super clean, product everywhere etc. if you are expecting fresh fruit and bright fresh açaí bowls I hate to say it... but this ain't it. Everything seemed to be canned or in some sort or large container... all of the açaí bases were frozen and iced over. I had the pineapple bowl which was okay... again nothing that really wowed me. The base of my bowl was ice cold with ice crystals and tasted like it was made a few days ago (may not have been but just in my opinion). I just feel like this place is missing the mark. Also is a weird combination for a Delta 8/ CBD shop combo as well which I was not aware of prior which also may have blurred my feelings of this place. I just wish it was cleaner and that the fruits used were fresh and not bulk canned items.... Nothing screams fresh food like giant Great Value Apple juice cans when you walk in.... But as always go try it for yourself!

Would give zero if I could. Smoothie bowl bases are pre-made so if you're looking for good açaí this is NOT the place to go. Overpriced for a pre-made bowl of nothing.

I can’t keep any food down at 3 months pregnant, I decided to give their smoothies a shot, I told the very enthusiastic owner I needed my veggies but also needed it to be delicious, he worked his magic and made me the best smoothie I’ve ever had, the baby girl loves it too ? great vibes in there!Thank you from both of us!

The fruit bowls are great. Sometimes I can't decide so I get both.The staff is wonderful and friendly and well knowledgeable. There's a guy who paints he's an artist he gives the place a awesome Vibe

I stopped by Smooth Monkey before I left Charlotte. By the end of my bowl I was sad that I waited! It was so freakin good! The place is decorated in cool paintings and drawings of you guessed it, monkeys. The açaí bases were so good I couldn't decide between the mango and the one with watermelon so the guy suggested we do both. It was the best decision! I called myself getting a small taste before pulling off to leave and I ended up eating the whole bowl in the parking lot!

Spent a lot of money in this place. One of the owners (the extremely talkative one) always finds a way to make a rude remark. Complains when he makes the order wrong because he's talking while attempting to listen. I've seen customers walk out on multiple occasions because of his attitude. Love this place but this owner should be at home. Let the rest of the staff take care of the store.

My favorite açaí bowls in Charlotte! They top it with so much fruit and the taste is great - I love the mango açaí flavor. My only quarrel is that they don’t put a fair ratio of açaí in the container.Vegetarian options: Lots of fresh fruit!

The best smoothies! Smooth Monkey puts all those other places to shame who use a ton of ice and other fillers. These are just fruit. That's it. So rad! I'll come back for sure when next in town.

Açaí bowl was below average. The açaí was pre made not fresh and was too icy. Protein powder just dumped on top, not even mixed in. The fruit was fresh and delicious.

While the flavor of the açaí bowl was great the consistency threw me off. I’m used to a smooth açaí base, but this one is chunky and frozen. As I was eating it it was so cold that I had to chew through small ice chips. Kinda weird and will probably opt for a smoothie next time.
