The food is so delicious it is cook with love and seasoning and is hot and delicious when it comes to you. The baked turkey wings fall off the bone! The macaroni and cheese absolutely delicious as well!!!!

Had lunch and it was some of the best food I have eaten out in a while! I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken wings were flavorful and delicious and had me wanting more!! Had a great experience, even though the wait was an hour and a half, Joshua was our server and he apologized for the wait time, but from there he made his recommendations and he took care of the four of us with ease and comfort. Food was goood and the atmosphere was fantastic. Just wish the place was a little biggger but it was wonderful. Will be coming back

This place is AMAZING! The customer service is excellent, honestly the best customer service I’ve experienced in Charlotte. Period. The food is EXCELLENT, best Soul food in Charlotte its almost like gourmet style soul food. Our waiter was amazing shoutout to Josh! The owner was there working and everyone was just in great spirits. If you come here and have an issue it’s you ! Not them because their customer service got Chic Fil A beat by a long shot !

I love this spot. They stay pretty busy so go at a good time. I love the Mac and cheese and all of their desert options.
Food was flavorful. Staff was friendly. Everything is cooked to order so there's a wait. Small venue. Outdoor seating is an option. Probably would be able to sit more people if there were round or square tables instead of the bulky booths.

Stumbled in on my way to the grocery store to shop for dinner and I'm so happy I did...where do I even start? Let's just say my expectations were not high as unfortunately here in Charlotte, I have become used to being overcharged for subpar food. This was not the situation here.I ordered the collard/kale dip (a favorite of mine that I make at home) for my app. I then ordered the fried wings and was told, when I announced that I'm not a big fries fan (especially at this price point), that I would be getting yams as a sub by my wonderful server, Josh. He said it with such confidence that I didn't want to let him know I don't even like yams! For my second side, I ordered the mac and cheese. I ordered the jerk sauce on the side. Lastly, I ordered the Raspberry Lemon Drop for my cocktail. They have dessert listed as "cake of the day." And since cake is my favorite food group, I had to ask what was today's? Turns out it was sweet potato pound cake and since I hadn't received my food then, I incorrectly took a sigh of relief because, again, as not a sweet potato fan it wouldn't be tempting.My app was seasoned perfectly! They even took the time to season the tortilla chips. If you follow me, you know how I am about layering flavors! They didn't miss with the fried chicken. It came out hot and crispy. The jerk sauce was a little thyme forward, but I appreciate their take on it. But let's have a conversation about the yams and mac and cheese. They slapped (as the youngins say)! The way they are traditionally cut is one of the reasons why I don't like yams, so I appreciated them cubing them instead. And they pretty much have gotten the mac and cheese perfect. Seasoned, gooey, with the baked cheese on top - chefs kiss.So Josh, the top tier server that he is, asked if I was ready for my cake? I guess he saw how I knocked back them yams and assumed it only be the right segue for the pound cake to follow. So I did what I quickly learned was the right thing to do and answered, "yep." But told him to bring it to go cause I was full. He brings it to the table in the to go box with a bowl of ice cream. I ask, "what's up with the ice cream?" He says, as he shrugged his shoulders, "that's how it's served." Then he had the nerve to say, "gone ahead and taste it. You probably won't be taking it home." Oh, I know a set up when I see one. I popped the top and scooped a bite of cake with the ice cream. WHY WAS THE CAKE WARM?!?! Seriously?!?!? So needless to say, Josh was right yet again, the durn cake didn't make it home!Thank you for great service and fantastic food from start to finish! I'm a huge fan of a complete follow through. I can't wait to come back and I'm asking for Josh!!

I had the collard green dip as an appetizer which is a 10/10, the garlic Parmesan turkey wings was seasoned very well 9/10, the Mac and cheese was 9/10, the sweet tea was just right and my waitress was wonderful. Do they sell drinks but I was being good lol they also have outdoor seating!

My first time visiting. Extremely professional aces welcoming. I dined alone for my bday & 10/10. I had the friend flounder, Mac & cheese & yams & sweet potato cake. Omg food was hot, fresh and the best soul food I’ve had in Charlotte. I will be back sooner than later. Sweet potato cake was phenomenal.
