This isn’t our first time here, but is likely our last. The service was AWFUL. We had to get up more than once to ask to order and to ask to be serviced, ask to check out, ask for a refill. A lot for an $80 meal.

Hit and miss experience here. I really enjoyed the BBQ and spicy miso ramen but the rest of the experience was poor. They were out of steam buns, gyoza, chicken, eggs and tuna. This eliminated the bulk of their menu to be honest. Worth noting this was on a Friday night when you’d expect a restaurant to be ready for the weekend.

I've eaten A LOT of ramen throughout my traveling and this spot has my 2nd favorite ramen bowl ever. I want to give it 5 stars just for their Ichiraku ramen but the egg was cold when it was served and if they had pork belly in there instead of chicken it would be . The flavor was AWESOME though and the prices were very, very reasonable. Highly recommend. I also liked the atmosphere and simple menu.If there was any more constructive criticism it was that the staff was slow. It was a slow night with few people in the restaurant, and it did take much longer than expected to get what we ordered.

The shoyu ramen is so good! The broth is soo flavorful. The buns are great. I loved the crunch of the cucumber. I love the small cute and quaint atmosphere?. My favorite part is you can order hot tea. The staff is very friendly. Will be back soon :). Thank you!!

The service was great. Came by when needed. The decor was cool and the music was great. The food itself was just lacking flavor. The dumplings seemed half filled and the ramen tasted like they threw in lump charcoal. All I could taste was Char. They also did not have soft boiled eggs and said they were out. Overall a mid experience to be honest.

I was one of four girls coming in for a late lunch. When I noticed it wasn’t crowded, i asked the hostess if we could sit at one of the booths. She told us that we couldn’t sit at a booth because we didn’t have 5 people and that lunch hour gets very busy (it was 2:30pm.. it didn’t get any busier). The food was okay, I was expecting better flavors.

The broth in the shoyu ramen was really tasty and not overly salty. While I'm not a huge fan of corn in ramen, I really enjoyed the bok choy and chicken.

Food Was Not Really JapaneseFood was very little or sparse for what you payStaff did the minimal necessary to make the Food appearFood wasn't great, your brain won't register it and say "we need to comeback here" the same way a cold cut sandwich from a gas station won't elicit a memorable thought. It's edible.

Being a former employee in the food service industry, I rarely leave bad reviews regardless of my experience. Unfortunately, my experience was so unpleasant at Sosu I had to share.Me and my friend had high expectations for this restaurant because of all the tik tok advertising and recommendations. We ordered three appetizers (edamame, truffle onigiri, and salmon onigiri) and two ramen bowls, with the possibility of dessert. The edamame was ok but wasn't the best. The salmon onigiri was too salty and lacked flavor... But the ultimate kicker was we found a long piece of silky smooth hair in the truffle onigiri and told the Manager on duty and was still asked to pay the full value of the original receipt which included the the food we didn't even receive. We only had a bite of both onigiris and a few edamame pods and mind you, my friend nor myself have long silky smooth hair by any means, which they didn't dispute.I then asked for the owners number to sort things out later, but was quickly offered to just pay for the items we touched. I'm not a confrontational person, so I just paid for my friend's and I food and left, since I recommended the place for us for lunch.I would not recommend this restaurant with the experience I had. Never going back.

The best ramen in all of Charlotte, not an exaggeration. Have never been disappointed here.
