In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We've sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance. Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one. It took us more than 80 tries to get it right-mellow and flavorful with a nice softness.

I decided to walk around downtown to see if I could find a spot to charge my phone until my AirBnB was ready for check in and I stumbled on this Starbucks. Of course I thought, well I can go there, charge my phone and have a coffee then keep moving. I ended up staying for almost an hour just chatting with one of the managers, Sarah. She was so delightful, made many recommendations for food, entertainment and even provided safe routes for walking around town. This was the nicest...

I love Starbucks and rarely have any issues. This particular day, I ordered a food item and after waiting for 20+ minutes, I was told there were no more chives so they couldn’t make it. That’s not so much the problem because I understand things run out. However, when I asked about the long wait and how I could be compensated for the inconvenience, the barista simply said, “You can order something else.” I’m just used to a better customer service experience. The wait...

A quick coffee and breakfast item before heading to a Christmas Craft show.Beware of street closures if you are dropped off. Our driver couldn't easily find their way back to get us. Unfortunately for us waiting we had to go out in the cold and rainy weather...and walk around a bit trying to figure out where we could meet. ?
