I asked for a venti brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso WITHOUT ice…. I was expecting my regular coffee just not with ice and got charged the venti size $7 for them to fill my cup less than half way. That’s ridiculous to me

I visited this Starbucks location today and ordered the same drink I always get, so I am very familiar with the normal total. When the total came up differently, I politely mentioned that something must have been missing — not because it was too high, but because it was actually too low.
Instead of listening, the barista immediately started explaining upcharges as if I were questioning the price being too high. I calmly clarified that I expected the amount to be a specific amount based on multiple previous visits and that something had simply been left off. I even addressed her kindly as “sweetheart,” which I use respectfully and not sarcastically or dismissively. Unfortunately, it seems she took offense to it….crazy as I really was trying not to offend her.
By the time I reached the window, she was not there. Another employee — who was very kind — finished my order. However, when I received my cup, the word “sweetheart” had been written on it. That felt unnecessary and intentionally petty. I’ve never seen them write out that many words like that on a cup before, and it came across as a jab rather than customer service.
I want to be clear: I respect baristas and people in customer-facing roles. My daughter worked for Starbucks for two years, and both of my daughters currently work in customer service — as have I. At another Starbucks I have frequented in the passed , I have wonderful relationships with the staff because I genuinely appreciate the work they do. I am not someone who pulls up to Starbucks looking for an issue. So when something like this happens, it stands out — and in this case, the problem was absolutely not the customer.
It’s also disappointing that a simple interaction turned negative simply because listening didn’t happen first. Sadly, this reflects a broader issue in today’s world — where people are quick to assume, quick to take offense, and slow to take accountability. In many places, not just here, there seems to be a lack of emotional awareness, customer-service training, and the ability to pause and understand intent before reacting. No one benefits from that — not the customer, and certainly not the business.
I consciously choose this location even though it isn’t the closest to me, but this experience has made me reconsider returning.
I do want to acknowledge that there are staff members here — including one gentleman in particular — who are consistently kind and professional. Unfortunately, this interaction overshadowed that.
This should really be seen as a learning opportunity — not everything a customer says is criticism, and sometimes kindness isn’t condescension.

I always order matcha latte with chocolate cream cold foam all the time in this store, a Guy who does most of the order does it right..
Yesterday I ordered the same & literally I could not see the cold foam & on top of that the Drink is completely filled with foam!!!! When I asked “did you put chocolate cream cold foam in there” a lady literally replied “I can see it”
I wish I asked her to atleast hold the drink, then she would know how light weight the drink was!!
To be honest VERY VERY sad with the service!!! In this Store! I wish they knew how to do a Normal cold foam!!! Since the Starbucks itself is meant for good cold foams!!!
I just wanted to mention “I asked for Matchalatte with chocolate cream cold foam” not the drink filled with matcha foam!!!!!!
I wished they made another drink instead of gossiping between themselves as if I asked the drink to make it free🙄! Seems like I paid for nothing!

They had to actually bring my drink out to my car. I have never ever been to a Starbucks and had to pull around for someone to bring me my drink. All the years I have been coming to star bucks. This really put a bad taste in my mouth for this location. I had to yell out my car window because the employee didn't know what color car he was looking for. Horrible service

I just left 9/29/25. Coming in felt like it was also raining inside just didn’t feel warm , I ordered two jalapeño chicken pockets and asked for the jalapeno salsa that comes with if asked … again I ordered TWO the lady who BAGGED my food didn’t put the salsa in it so I kindly waited and asked.. she grabs the salsa a single pack without even making eye contact or saying yes then I asked for another salsa before she comes back because again I have two pockets and she then says “ u only get one per person just so you know “ with attitude.. so I asked kindly even if u have two she says again u only get one salsa with one pocket I say again well I bought two then her whole attitude changed because she probably felt embarrassed. Like just unnecessary as kind and soft as I asked. I work in customer service as a server and wouldn’t dare greet or engage to any of my tables needs like that. I will not be back.
