On December 3, 2025, I hosted a dinner at this restaurant. Prior to our visit, my manager and the restaurant exchanged multiple emails to plan the evening, including menu selections and quantities. We provided a proposed list, and the restaurant explicitly stated it would not be sufficient, recommending additional items. Relying on their guidance, we agreed to their recommendations.
Upon arrival, staff asked to identify the host and how we would like to proceed with ordering. When wine was requested, I stated, “Yes, get a good house wine or something similar,” with the clear expectation that this would be a reasonably priced, standard option.
Instead, the staff brought a $400 bottle of wine without mentioning the price. This was followed by seven additional bottles (8 total) at the same price point. At no time were prices disclosed, clarified, or confirmed, despite the unusually high volume and cost. This was not a single misunderstanding — it was a repeated pattern throughout the evening. In addition to the A5 Wagyu was insisted by staff. There are so many voids and orders. There was clearly some adjustments. But I’m not going to make accusations. I’ll let you see for yourself in the bill.
Given the level of advance coordination, the scale of the order, and multiple clear opportunities to pause and confirm pricing, it is difficult to view this as an oversight. What should have reasonably been a $5,000–$6,000 dinner ultimately exceeded $11,000.
I am sharing this experience as a caution to all guests dining here. Be extremely explicit about pricing and do not assume staff will act in good faith when making selections on your behalf. Based on this experience, the restaurant appears willing to take advantage of ambiguity rather than provide transparency.
In addition, I contacted the restaurant on 12/15/25 they said they would call. They didn’t. I called the manager Maddy. She didn’t answer.
Update. The general manager said essentially did not care what I thought. He stood by his employees. He said their job is to tell people what to get. Even though we asked for a cheaper bottle of wine. They insisted on a more expensive. I told him that I was going to take a full page ad out and he simply did not care. This type of attitude and arrogance is disgusting.

As always, I had the best dining experience at Steak 48! Charles is goes above and beyond my expectations every time. He is proactive, engaging, and extremely skilled at what he does. Not to mention knowledgeable. He is definitely a great asset to the Steak 48 brand. As for my food (LOL)...the branzino never disappoints. Cooked to perfection on a lemon butter sauce. My husband and daughter both had the salmon and loved it. We also enjoyed the shrimp and calamari, as well as the crème brûlée corn and shishito peppers. Though we had NO room for dessert, we very much enjoyed the caramel butter cake ;-) . We will definitely be back!

Service was fantastic! Our servers were very knowledgeable and attentive. Unfortunately, the 12oz filet was very undercooked. Ordered to be cooked medium, but it was rare in the middle. When the manager was making their rounds we brought this up and they had us use a hot plate to further cook it, which was disappointing for the price, and unexpected for a place that has steak in the name.

I went here to celebrate my birthday and the moment I pulled up, the valet, made me feel special. The servers and staff super friendly and made might night special. The food was amazing!!! And drinks delicious.

The food was amazing and had to be eaten gracefully. The service was phenomenal. Our server spoke at a nice pace and time. He explained the menu and offer a great entree. He noticed my unused silverware was taken up by mistake and replaced it before I knew what had happened. The ambience was amazing. The only draw back was a couple groups that was a bit loud. In which I understand the establishment had to control over and they were celebrating.

Great service and great food. We will be back! The atmosphere is quiet and the lighting is excellent. The Fried Shrimp Deviled Eggs were superb! The filet was excellent, you could cut it with a fork.
