absolutely the most mis managed restaurant I have ever patonized in my 58 years on this planet. Attroshish, disrespectful service and management. The general manager should be fired, without delay. The food was equivalent to having been served at Waffle House. Although Waffle House is a great late dining experience, it far exceeds what the experience was like at steak 48. Look elsewhere than this disgustingly inferior, filthy establishment.

By far my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. I go here every chance I get when I want to feel fancy and spoil myself. Food is AMAZING. Atmosphere is top tier. Service is unmatched. I have not had ANYTHING on the menu that I did not LOVE. you absolutely have to try the lobster And shrimp Mac n cheese if you don't try ANYTHING else, you HAVE TO get this!!! You will NOT be disappointed by this restaurant. 1 billion thumbs up!!

We were celebrating my sister’s 50th wedding Anniversary who were visiting us from Ireland and we were blown away with the recognition, delicious food, and brilliant service. Our waiter, Andrea, was fantastic and made our celebration very special. Steak 48 is the best restaurant in Charlotte and we will continue to go there. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

Everything from the moment we entered the doors was top notch. The food, and service were incredible. They even gave us a card congratulating us for our anniversary. We will definitely come back again.Parking: The parking garage is right around the corner from the restaurant. Very easy to get in and out

Trash. Used to be quality, but has gone completely down the drain in last few months. Steak they use isn’t even grass-fed! Despite being $100 for a meager cut. Save your money and eat elsewhere. Most overrated restaurant in Charlotte and it’s not even close. Four thumbs down!1st UPDATE: I emailed steak48 (as they requested when I first left a review) and one week later NO response. The Steak48 way: over promise & under deliver!Plz save your money & appetite. All this restaurant cares about is profit - not their customers or food quality. Shame.2nd UPDATE: Still ZERO communication from steak48, even though they asked me to email and discuss further. Atrociously managed restaurant. Avoid at all costs.3rd UPDATE: Steak48 has deleted their response to this review, so as to make it appear that they never asked me to contact them - which i did and they never responded. Pathetic management. If you can’t trust them with a review, how can you trust them with a meal…?

Food was outstanding. Unfortunately, I expect more from a restaurant where I spend $125 p/p. Service was mediocre, waiter was not very attentive and lacked a sincere smile. Our dessert took almost 20 minutes to be served. Other patrons seating around us had theirs before, even though we ordered first. Manager came by our table and offered a $50 gift card for our next visit. There won't be a next visit. The atmosphere was not very intimate, I could hear everyone around me masticating or chatting. The music playing was 80's pop. The dress code was NOT enforced. Many folks were wearing polo shirts, even hoodies. Again, I expect more from a restaurant this expensive. And the long wait for the desserts...there's no room for failure at places like this. You just can't fail. Expectations are very high.

We had a less than stellar experience last time we dined at Steak 48. We had reservations and went in to get seated. A manager then came up to my mom and said her outfit was against their dress code and we were turned away. She was wearing nice (non athletic) joggers, a shirt, and matching jacket. They struggled to come up with a specific reason why she was against the dress code and finally settled on her pants being the problem. I was also in non athletic joggers and a sweater and they did not say anything about my outfit even though it was very similar. They suggested my mom go to Target and buy jeans to wear. In what world are jeans nicer than black pants? They said jeans weren't against their dress code.We stepped outside to discuss where we are going to eat instead. As we were outside we observed several people coming out after their meals and going inside and seated that were in various clothing garments against their dress code (and less professional looking than my mom) without being turned away. There was a woman in a literal sheer black dress and you could see her whole bare bottom and undergarments, men in in basketball shorts, several people in hats, several people in graphic tees, ripped jeans, sneakers, hoodies, etc.We decided to go back in to discuss with the manager, and after a long wait two managers came outside to discuss and said they can't fully monitor everyone. After a long discussion they decided they could accommodate us and seat us but were requiring my mom to take off her jacket, even though the joggers were supposedly the problem in the first place. I said I had seen several people in hoodies. The manager said they allow hoodies but not zip ups. It just seems like it was a power thing and they could not defend why they originally turned my mom away. It was embarrassing and my mom was on the verge of tears. We don't mind a dress code but it has to be consistent and we saw several people be seated with garments against the dress code.We ended up eating there because it was too late to pick anything else. The food was excellent and our server was great. The manager never came by though to check on us or try to rectify the dress code situation at all. Overall, not sure if I would spend $300+ here again due to the inconsistencies and the way they treated my mom.

I've eaten at other locations and this one was no different. The service and food are always a cut above! The staff is friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the menu. The food is always seasoned well, cooked perfectly and plated beautifully. If you have not visited a Steak 48 location you are missing out!!

I had the opportunity to take a client out for dinner at Steak48. The food and atmosphere were very business friendly. As we were enjoying our dinner, we had a spill at the table. This is where things took a turn for BEST! The team there was quick to help with minimizing the embarrassment and making sure that anything that may have been impacted was fixed. From re-heating the entree to replacing sides, it was like a pit crew saving the day. I was very impressed with the entire staff and would go back again without question.

Phenomenal service , ambiance and food. Had the bone in rib-eye and family member had bone in filet. Perfectly cooked. Very tasty. A tremendous list of sides with several choices of potato. Staff was very attentive. Great place for special occasions or if you just want to treat yourselves as we did!!

I took my wife here for Easter lunch/dinner. This was our first time dining at Steak 48. WOW!!!What an incredible dining experience! This is definitely not your average steakhouse. We enjoyed the exceptional quality of food and outstanding service from the moment we walked through the doors to the very end.Our server Amanda Schelonka was very professional, impressive and super helpful. She guided both along with recommended drinks and wine. Periodically she would check on us to be sure we were good and if we needed anything. There was never a hurry and the atmosphere was intimate.During our visit they served us the Grilled Soft Bread with Sea Salt. We opted for no appetizers. For our main course we both had the Filet Mignon, Black truffle, sautéed Lobster Tails and Buttermilk Whipped Potatoes along with the Roasted Beet & Chopped for our salads. All done to perfection as we like our steak. We loved how the fillet and lobster came out sizzling on our plates and the meal stayed at a perfect temperature. The salads were so fresh and tasty!! To end the night we had coffee and split the Triple Layer Key Lime Pie. If you are looking for the ultimate dining experience look to Steak 48! We highly recommend them! Don’t forget to ask for Amanda to be your server!!
