I don't know about all Steak n Shakes, but this restaurant requires customers to order strictly from a kiosk. The kiosk I went to did not respond initially. Then when it did, the glare was pretty bad where visibility was poor. Then after ordering, they had the nerve to ask for a TIP. Not only did I have to use a kiosk, I then had to walk up to get my order, and clear my table...AND THEY THINK THEY DESERVE A TIP?!?! Give me a break. Further more, when I went to refill my drink, the soda dispenser would not work. When I finally flagged down an employee, she did not speak English. When someone who spoke English arrived, she said that we had to scan the QR code from the receipt she gave us when we picked up order. She then walked away when we instructed her that it was tossed out with our trash. Thankfully another customer scanned his QR code for us. The only bright side is that the food was hot and tasty. The staff were cold and sour. I will definitely not return to this store, and doubtful I will return to a Steak n Shake in the near future. I have to restate that it is absurd to ask for a TIP when the customer does the work. Not cool on their part. The only reason they got the one star was because the food was good. Not $10 good, but good.

Hadn’t been in a long time. Beef tallow fries were sooooo good! Burger with lots of toppings was delicious. Service was attentive and fast. I do miss the table service. Prices were lower than I expected. And of course we had to get a milkshake!

I like steak and shakes food for the value. You get a good amount of food for not a lot of money. It's a great place especially if you have a family with kids included. Kids definitely gonna to love it, in there eyes it's a big stepup from McDonald's.

Food is consistent and has been for over 40 years. Sadly, service is non existent now, order at a kiosk and pick it up at counter. The music was too loud for conversation. Clean.
High end fast food. This location gets very busy so you may end up waiting longer than you like. The location makes up for it though the Blakeney park adjacent to the restaurant is great for kids and parents!

That new manager on nights at me waiting on my order. I came thru drive thru around 1015pm . I watched him pack my order, Make the drink and then left it on the counter while continuing to talk to his coworkers and while looking or at the window about 3 times before bringing my order. I will also be contacting corporate bc how is this fast food or exhibiting any kind of customer service or professionalism

This is a poor representation of a great American fast food restaurant. Going inside you're forced to order with the kiosk. Not that big of a deal. Pretty easy to use. I wanted to order a bowl of chili but couldn't I find it on the kiosk? Couldn't get anyone in to help me so I just ordered two cups. When I got home and opened up the cups they were only half full. Seem like all I really got was a cup of chili but I got charged for two . I also ordered a large cheese fry. I got the large fry but no cheese sauce but the charge was clearly on my receipt It I had to ask for someone behind the counter to get my drink because they have some weird scanner to get the soda machine to turn on. The employee was very nice. He said the machine usually has problems. This just seems like a complete waste of space and energy. How about just have someone hand me my cup and avoid the nonsense. The whole concept in this place is mismanaged. Im sure covid is to blame for this change in S n S. But we could probably go back to the way steak 'n shake was and how it earned its reputation. Enough with the skimping and scraping to save a penny. I won't be back.

Haven't been to a steak n shake in years. Employees all greeted us with a smile, brought our food to the table, brought ketchup and napkins, overall went above and beyond for a fastfood spot. A good attitude goes a long way in the service industry, we'll definitely be back.
