The place is so cute! i love the aesthetic, super clean and plenty of open indoor seating.
We ordered the Wallpa Quad, Guava and Cheese bread, Wasi House, and the Coconut Guava drink.
The Wallpa Quad was good but the chicken was dry, and the Wasi House sandwich was delicious, but again the chicken was also dry.
I do not recommend the guava and cheese bread, it was super dry and little filling. Coffee was great! Absolutely loved this setting!

Great chill place. Staff was very kind and helpful. Other than the little turd girl ordering in front of my thinking the world revolved around her, it was fantastic 😂.

The atmosphere is really pretty but unfortunately the coffee is not too well. My iced vanilla latte was extremely watery and the cold foam was very thin. It was obvious that store bought syrup is being used. The waffles they have though, are amazing and worth coming back for. I love the fact that there’s cheese inside but you can barely taste it. Gives it that sweet and salty combo.

We love that we have a local coffee shop here. As we come often, but we feel now it’s losing its appeal. Today, as we ordered our coffee, she was on her cell phone. And paying $15 for coffee we feel the staff shouldn’t be on their cell. She seems like she is new.
Not sure if will keep coming back now. Sucks, seems Charlotte has this issue.

Wonderful place, great food and atmosphere BUT, if the owner doesn’t keep a close eye on things and learns to get the food out the out quicker they’re going to run into problems. As an ex successful restaurant owner, I know these things..

Empanadas are amazing

It was okay, I was expecting it to be busy on a Saturday but wow. Waiting 15 minutes for a coffee is alot when they have 3 baristas working. I found it to be over priced and not great.

This place was recommended by so many locals during our vacation and it lived up to the hype. It easily made my top 3 favorite coffee shops. They have mouth watering desserts and parties. Their food was also so delicious. We got their chocolate dulce de leche cake and it was super delicious and almost like a mix of a cake tree leches cake. Their empanadas were super delicious as well and the ham and cheese bread was amazing.

Their Sumaq latte was amazing but what stole the show was the dulce de leche latte, that has to be one of my favorite lattes I’ve ever had. Not overly sweet but you can really taste that dulce de leche taste. An absolute gem and would rate it a 10/10 spot.

My latte tasted a little burned and my sandwich was underwhelming. Willing to try the place out again and order something different next time. The vibes are 10/10

The coffee was watered down..needed more flavor for spending $21 on 2 cups. Another issue I have is the parking lot is not the best..especially when you have douche bags parking their luxurious cars in an awkward position, making it hard for the other folks to back out of near an already busy street. The place is very nice though, clean bathrooms & nice staff. Hopefully they work on their flavors with the coffee, but definitely a must stop for a quick pick me up!

Vegetarian options: For a modern place with alternative milk options, they should add some vegan options to their quick bites

Dietary restrictions: When I went, there were no vegan options

Kid-friendliness: Not really..its catered more for young professionals/adults

Came here for the first time today. Very happy they allowed our pet dog to come inside while we enjoyed our coffee. Ordered one iced and one hot latte and both were good. However the pastries were not. Nutella bread was burnt/hard - could not eat. Cinnamon apple bread was just ok - did not finish. Would recommend for coffee and pet friendly atmosphere but not the pastries.

Came to sumaq today and the place has a nice aesthetic and chill vibe however I would not come here again for the coffee NOR food. The frappes are not blending thoroughly, and have a lot of ice chunks, the Nutella bread that was given to me was BURNT TO A CRISP, and the empanada my friend ordered was given to her with the salsa cup dumped all over it and was soggy. There are WAY BETTER PLACES, in Charlotte.
