The hostess was extremely rude when we approached to get a table. It took her seven minutes to see someone at the bar then she came back to tell the only three people standing in line. They were not seating anyone else at the bar when they were plenty of seats. I thought the south was supposed to be hospitable and the woman who was working at at the Charlotte airport at summer house on November 12 at 6:15 PM was the rudest woman I’ve ever encountered. Please train your staff.

The food for a airport restaurant is very good .. the service could be faster at the door .. or the lack of sense of urgency.. we stood for a good 5 min. And the only people in line with plenty of tables ready . Last thing , this is the airport and prices are always higher .

Today we went over there and then we went to the other place after we went to the other place. Somebody told me that nobody was left since nobody was left. We left with somebody and somebody told us it was really good since somebody said it was really good, but nobody was there. We went ahead and went back home, but since nobody was there, there was nothing to fix so somebody was wrong. Anyway I hope anybody can do better than somebody.

I had a long layover between flights at the Charlotte Douglas Airport and was hungry. I found the Summer House a short distance from my gate. I asked if it was okay if I stayed a while and had my laptop open on the table. They said it was not a problem and gave me the perfect corner table to eat and work at. The food was excellent and the coffee was great. (As a writer, I live on coffee.) My server, Johana, was exceptionally considerate and took good care of me for the couple of hours I was there. If you're ever in the CLT airport and are looking for a good place to eat, check out the Summer House!

We really enjoyed our stop here 30 minutes before closing. The food was very fresh and tasty for airport food. Service was great. Probably the best airport food I've had to date. We got the turkey sandwich, guacamole appetizer, chicken tacos and drinks. We sat at the bar. The environment was cozy and modern. 4 stars instead of 5 due to pricing.

My go to place when I have a layover in Charlotte Airport .
I made a reservation at this restaurant and when I walked in I kindly said “hi I have a reservation for two” and was told very rudely that they “do not take reservations” and I had “no idea what I was talking about” and then proceeded to question me. I was then walked to a table and a manger yelled to me and my sister as we were being escorted to a table “where do you think you're going”. My sister and I decided we did not feel safe or comfortable at this restaurant because the staff was so incredibly rude. Airports are chaotic enough, you should be able to walk into a restaurant and not feel attacked and be able to sit down and enjoy a meal during a layover. I will never go to the airport restaurant again and I hope whoever reads this has a staff meeting and gets their team together... disgraceful.

I’m sitting here now and I was waiting to get seated and no one seated me.. I sat down and next to me where dishes needed to be bussed.. I asked can she clean that off and she stated you should of waited at the door anyway.. then she stated the one I was sitting at was clean and I explained to her it still has the trash from the next area in it and she still stated it was clean. Had a really stank ass attitude.. It’s 7pm 12/26..I left and went somewhere else.. definitely need a retraining on how to speak to patrons at your establishment.. I have been to plenty of Summer houses and loved every experience.

I never expect amazing service at the airport as I know airport employees deal with a lot and work hard hours sometimes but this place is horrible in the service department. Really disappointing for such a nice buildout

Two days ago I opted for the quick order option before my flight. Of note, I hadn’t had any food all day up till this point.
I ordered the double decker cali burger which tasted really good but 3 hours into my flight I began to have nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
I’m now two days into the trip and still have these symptoms. It’s clear I have FOOD POISONING.
Usually, I can look past service because we are people and sometimes have bad days but health consideration is a big one….I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
