I came in with a gift certificate, meaning I can be a future Customer. When I walked in, the cashier was in a full blown conversation and doesn't acknowledge me. The customer she was speaking with had to say something after me standing there for 60 seconds. When they moved to the side, the worker still doesn't say anything. Then here comes another worker...almost done the same. doesn't look at me, stands there for a brief moment, and says "I'll help him" Poor customer service. If this a "black-owned" don't be proud of yourselves.

if you don't have time to wait over 20 minutes for an overpriced avocado toast. i don't recommend coming. They were not very busy, they had a few other customers, but every counter was dirty. not a great experience

$10+ for avocado toast with 1/2 of an avocado, cut up and on top of a bed of arugula on a dry piece of sourdough and took 45 minutes. Bad experience

I was having a rough day and the cashier last Saturday treated me with such kindness and patience!! Like who wants to be sobbing while ordering breakfast? No one haha so being treated so well made me feel seen and normal. The food was also really good - everyone at our table was raving about the cheddar biscuit!!Will def return!

If you are considering a custom cake, this is your place! Absolute life savers! They made my wife's birthday the toast of the town with a customized birthday cake. Not only was it decorated to perfection with creativity, it was moist and delicious. Most of all, it was affordable! Other places I got quotes for 3-4 times the price for the same cake! I'd recommend this bakery for all occasions big and small!

So cute in here. The cashier was so friendly. And the roll was the perfect amount of sweet.

Pastries good, service horrible. Such a shame to wake up in the morning, go to work and have a bad attitude w customers. The young (white women w dark hair) never looked at me, didn't smile or even say thanks. If you don't want to be there I get it but that's separate from what you should be focusing on in the moment. Plenty other places to give my business to meanwhile.

I had a BLT for lunch and this was the worst BLT sandwich I've ever had. If I didn't have to attend a meeting I would have taken it back. The sandwich didn't even have a taste to it really.

Ordered a number 4 and everything was a bit bland and the food doesn’t taste very fresh. Most of the workers were nice with the exception of a few rude comments from one.

Horrible service. I mean, they don't even acknowledge your presence. It feels like they are in the "I do not want to work here" attitude. Food takes forever to come out. Not worth it and we live 2 blocks away.

We all enjoyed our food (blueberry muffin) and drinks (dark roast coffee and cappuccino). However the barista walked away in the middle of making the cappuccino, so five minutes later I had to go inquire after the drink. The cashier stepped in and made it for me.

Food was delicious, and lavender latte was perfect. Only one person working front, which was fine. No problem waiting and she was very polite. Cafe was dirty though, tables, floor etc. Definitely made me not sit and stay even though there was plenty of spots to sit.

LOVE! Was so happy I stopped through. Was showing a friend around Charlotte and wanted to treat her out for some sweets. She has celiacs so it was a bit of a struggle to find somewhere close by (or even in the area) that had gluten-free options. We were walking around south end when we searched for Sunflour Baking Co. It's been on my list to visit and so glad it was within walking distance and they mentioned GF options. And omg, soooo worth it. I still think about the GF cheesecake. My friend LOVED it. She loaded up on treats before she left because she enjoyed it so much. So glad Charlotte has bakeries that are catering to folks with dietary restrictions. Love the inclusivity and the vibes at this location were on point. We got there near closing time and we weren't rushed. We got to enjoy our treats and people watch by the window. Will definitely come back and load up when I visit my friend.

Love this place. Both locations are consistent with quality, and customer service. The coffee is always amazing and the food is FRESH. This is always a go to
