I was visiting Charlotte and wanted some Soul food and this place popped up on Google...but when I saw the reviews I just can't take a risk on this place....to many bad reviews

One of my favorite soulfood spots in Charlotte. Haven't been their in a while but anytime I visit I have to stop by here the food is really good. Just stopped by this past weekend. (3-22/3-23-24).

I had the BEST tender, smothered turkey necks I had ever tasted. The food is seasoned just right for all health conditions. If you need more, just simply add it. The prices are reasonable. Whenever, I am in Charlotte, this will be my go to. If you live in North Carolina especially the Charlotte Area stop by and try it.

Small little spot that you would never believe to put out this type of food. If you like southern and soul food style cooking this is a great place to go. Great amount of food portion and speedy service. I look forward to try out different things on the menu.

I like to visit here when I can. I always get the chitterling dinner and cheeseburger to go. I love their chitterlings. I refuse to cook my own and haven't had any good ones since my grandmother who passed used to make them. We all know we can't eat everybody's chitterlings, but these are spot on the best.

This Southern Soulful spot is tucked away in the corner off Beatis Ford road just before Sunset. I will admit you love the people. I ordered the croaker, and it was fried and seasoned to perfect along with black-eyed peas, collards, yams, and cornbread with a slice of sweet potato pie. I'm only Madd. I didn't go to the place sooner. Definitely check this spot out if in the area, guys??

I went here last week after I got my hair done. I got smothered pork chops and my husband got oxtails. We tried a bunch of sides. Collard greens, mac & cheese, baked beans, mashed potatoes/gravy, rice, whole kernel corn and candied yams. We also did the chicken wing add on’s.The pork chops weren’t fried enough, so when they put them in the gravy, it made the pork chops doughy and they were tough. The mac n cheese was soaking in oil. The corn soaked in butter.The oxtails were super tender and the other sides were good. All in all, we enjoyed the food and supporting a small local restaurant. They have a huge menu and we will try some other meats with the sides next time I get my hair done out there. Sorry forgot to take pics.They were slammed busy and parking is horrible. There is really no room to eat in but they have some tables if you want to stay there. They had a lot of repeat customers that they knew by name and knew their orders. That was very impressive.

My grandmother was very pleased with the Oxtails, Mac n cheese and broccoli casserole. Considering her appetite hasn't been the best, I was glad she really enjoyed the food and ate well!

I took a risk and ordered delivery from this place and was not disappointed. I had the grilled scallops, cabbage and candied yams — it was soooo scrumptious!! I was very impressed with the portion size if the scallops (you can’t see them all in the photo as they were covered by the foil). I’m also a scallops snob, and these were cooked to perfection!
