This is the best Japanese food anywhere in this area. You get a great bento box. Everything is so good. Just go there

First off, we waited OVER AN HOUR to get our food. Multiple sweet potatoes rolls were not filled with anything. They didn't follow our written instructions for sauce on the side. Probably the worst dining experience since we moved to Charlotte.

We went in on a very not busy Wednesday evening. The service staff was very warm, welcoming, and attentive. My husband's meal of chicken, veggies, and noodles was pretty good (lotta filler cabbage, though), my daughter enjoyed her sushi, but I didn't enjoy my tonkatsu ramen (no fish in this) nor our family's shared sushi roll (no fish in this roll) owed to the *super* fishy tasting seaweed in both dishes. Additionally, my ramen did not offer hand pulled fresh noodles or anything fresh for that matter; the accoutrements were all canned or pickled, whereas the price point of this dish really commands fresh ingredients. While I truly enjoyed the service, I won't be back for the food.

I can't recommend this place enough. The Dancing Dragon sushi roll is my favorite roll I think I've ever had. The service is great. You are greeted upon entering the store and when you leave. My waitress was very, very nice. The atmosphere is great. Just a great place to go and grab a bite to eat. They also offer takeout.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff were extremely unfriendly and didn’t even provide basic customer service. I can’t recommend this place at all in terms of taste or service. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Good food but service was bad. We didn’t get menus up until i got and grabbed them about 10 minutes later. Not paying attention to guests when we needed refills or new orders . Not our fist time here but service is not good they are in their phones all the time e

We really enjoyed our first visit. The food was fresh and the yakisoba chicken and vegetables had so many fresh veggies in it. We will definitely be back.

What a terrible place across the board. First, we visit many Japanese restaurants and here, prices are extremely high for what you get and the rundown feeling of the place. On top of that, they want $21 for a steak hibachi plate and refuse to substitute anything. Per the waitress, the owner won’t allow them to. I just wanted clear soup instead of miso soup which is less expensive so it would have saved them money. And no, they weren’t busy. They’re never busy. The waitress was friendly but seemed scared of the owner. Not a good look. Felt bad for her. Lastly, they didn’t know the difference between soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. They apparently use teriyaki sauce for both the hibachi cooked meals as well as the teriyaki meals. She said all meals just use one sauce. What expensive Japanese restaurant doesn’t know the difference between these two sauces? We give restaurants 3 chances. This was their last. Never again. Make the drive to Koumi’s in Monroe. Amazing food. Just expect them to be packed almost all the time.
