I had been looking for some sweets because I was going through Shelby and I pulled up Sweet Sensation website and saw well over 15 different pound cakes. I was so excited I didn’t know which one I was gonna choose but I knew that I was gonna get a slice of at least three. When I got there She only had lemon and this was the mid afternoon. She told me that she would give them to me for a cheaper price because they were cut small. But she gave them to me because they were old probably two days old, the icing on the cake and the cake look nothing like the pictures. . I’m sure it was good when it was fresh two or three days ago, but it was so hard in the middle and Around the edges of the cake except for the icing. I ended up throwing both of them away. I’m truly disappointed because we always want to say we are Black Business Owners but this is what you present to your black customers. Me being a black woman and a business owner, I know if I see a black owned business , I’m gonna automatically buy something, but she should never have sold these slices of cake like I said it was a waste of money. I’m truly disappointed and will I go back? probably not.

The ladies are so sweet and friendly. The frozen Italian ice is delicious. All of the flavors are amazing including mango, watermelon, sour apple, orange sherbet, and many more. We will definitely be back!
Stopped in for a Rum Raisin shake and a black cherry cookies and cream shake. The atmosphere in this little shop is just like being at home, the ladies who run the shop are very inviting and friendly. Plenty of choices and the selection of old fashioned candies and treats are numerous.

The owner was the sweetest lady in the world; she was so friendly and welcoming! They had a lot of variety for baked goods and candy. The Italian ice was delicious but y’all. The blueberry muffin?? That was the best blueberry muffin I’ve ever had. It was almost like angel food cake it was so light and fluffy. I would've taken a picture except I devoured it in like 2 seconds cause it was that good. 10/10, highly recommend.

This store started small at the farmers market, and never disappointed! They built themselves into a storefront and continue to stand out in many ways. Two of the absolute nicest ladies you could ever hope to meet, they are helpful and keep a store with all the classics as well as plenty of curious extras! And though I didn’t get one (this time), their homemade pastries look delicious enough to drive a half hour in just for a taste! Please go support this Beautiful Black, Women owned shop anytime you can! ❤️
