I was very disappointed with the tacos, they were very mediocre. The chorizo texture wasn’t like normal chorizo. It looked and tasted more like grounded up beef kind of stuck together, and didn’t have that distinct chorizo flavor. I will say the chicharron taco was decent but the chicken, steak, chorizo and the steak & chorizo options weren’t memorable at all. Most authentic tacos I’ve found in Charlotte. The servers are AMAZING. They are quick and attentive. The kitchen is very fast too- the food always comes quickly and tastes fresh, hot and delicious. I recommend to anyone who likes real Mexican tacos.

So glad a friend recommended Tacos El Nevado in Charlotte, North Carolina. You’re not going there for the ambience. It’s a down and dirty amazing Mexican place. I loved our server- we didn’t speak much Spanish and she didn’t speak much English, but we did fine. The food was so great. The Birria tacos were absolutely delicious with the consommé!
