I cried with joy eating these tamales. These are my abuela’s quality. Bertha Rivas, Nana Maria and Nana Lenor all cooking and laughing in the kitchen for two days. That’s what these taste like. I will be back every single time I’m in Charlotte.
The chicken tacos had a interesting twist in flavor being Latin vs Mexican but still tasted very good! The only reason for the 4 stars is due to service, it is non existent. So don’t expect to be greeted or anything when you walk in but if the tacos are going to taste the way that they do it’s ok. I will definitely bring giving them another go
Authentic Mexican cuisine in a casual atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring you your food when it’s ready. The tamales are very good as are the authentic tacos (cilantro and onions on soft corn tortillas). Hard shell tacos with lettuce and cheese is Tex-Mex. All of the food I have ever gotten here has been very good except the refried beans and rice which was just OK. The refried beans had the texture and consistency of canned refried beans and were VERY salty...
