Neighborhood vibes. Food is exceptional. Wish was closer or I'd be there every week. House fried rice was superb. Enough for 2 people. Ordered wings extra crispy. Cooked perfectly and super tasty.

I wish I knew who the bartender Dawn was there back in November, December 2020 my husband Jim said she made great drinks..

I was in the Charlotte area visiting the day ater Hurricane Helene and a lot of restaurants had power outages but I was so hungry after a long flight looking for something tasty at 10:00 p.m. Tavern 51 had pretty good reviews and I'm glad I checked the place out because the food was delicious! The bartender was friendly and gave helpful menu recommendations. They have different sauces and dry rubs for the chicken wings. Their shrimp fried rice was fresh and tasty! Great spot to hit up when you need some late night deliciousness. A bit pricey but it was worth it to to me since the food was good.

People with allergies beware! There is rampant cross contamination in the kitchen. Our beef lo mien came out smelling like shrimp and no accommodations were made when requested. There are no warnings on the menu either about potential kitchen cross contamination risk. Talking with the wait staff they mentioned multiple people have had allergic reactions in response to dishes that should otherwise be fine. Eat here at your own risk if you have any allergies.

If your not part of whatever group/club that currently utilizes this bar than it would be a grave mistake to visit this establishment.
One might think that the security guard employed by the establishment is there for your protection when in reality they are there to aid the owners in unlawfully detaining,assaulting and stealing from any newcomer desperate enough to venture into the establishment. Just in case you have read this and still are thinking of giving it a try I will say it once more DO NOT GO HERE. literally any other place in Charlotte would be better to go to than this place. You have been warned.

The staff is fun engaging and excited for you to be there even the security guard greats you and makes you feel like they are grateful you came by. I met this really great waitress named Hilary and she was so attentive gave me refills before I even asked I had to go ask to speak to the manager to tell them she deserves a raise. I love this type of service you don't get that often. The Chinese food is large portions and so good you can tell the chef is cooking fresh authentic cuisine. I have told everyone I know please visit this secret hideaway with the best customer service you will be amazed. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!

The owner is beyond rude and disrespectful. Talked to me like I was the one who took the order wrong when I was just the customer and made me pay for food that was completely wrong. His waitress was drunk and took the order wrong and I sent it back. He came out yelling at me and made a scene if front of everyone. I will never step foot in this place ever again ??

Went here on a whim since other dinner plans didn’t work out and WOW. What a find. Sure, that atmosphere is more dive bar-like, but the service was great, drinks were cheap, we liked that it had a lot of screens, and the food??? Hands-down, the best seafood fried rice, and seafood boil-in-a-bag I’ve had since moving to Charlotte. We can’t wait to go back and try other dishes.

This place could be great but, management and OWNERSHIP is making it the most discussing place I’ve ever been! I wouldn’t eat food from here if it were free! The OWNER is the worst part of it! He used the bathroom and didn’t wash his hands when I had food on the way! The best part was the bartender, which she took great care of me. I will never go back because the guy that owns it, cooks all your food and doesn’t follow basic laws for sanitation like WASHING HIS HANDS!
