It's hard to find great Thai food in Charlotte, but the food is good. Lunch a bit pricey, but portions were good. Fast service. Clean restaurant.

We have been going here for years. But tonight the food was not good. Stir fried meal was lacking spice. We loved their Mee Keon for years but it also was tasteless. There was a new server and he kept getting on his phone when we needed service. Mango sticky rice was excellent. We travel an hour to eat here. I’m not sure we will be back soon.

So we were visiting from out of town and we eat this back home at least once a week. Let’s just say our home restaurant puts this one to shame on all levels. Fried egg rolls were good. Everything else was just ok. When we walked in it look like golden coral setup versus a Thai restaurant with the culture environment. After we placed our order it took forever for the food to come. Someone came after a party of 3 and ordered their food about 5-10 min after us and they got all their food before our eggrolls came out and by the time they received their check we were just getting the rest of our food🤨 so I will definitely be trying a different Thai spot next visit to the area.

We went to dinner not expecting to hear one of one of the greatest conversations that has ever taken place. I'm pretty sure that the lady behind us was taking out a potential hitman and was freely speaking about the situation. She also asked for a red wine and then said "like a sauvignon blanc." Blanc is "white" in French. They talked for a while and he said he was a beer man, she said she was a big wine enthusiast.
The food was delicious and the portions were plenty. I got the Shrimp Kang Dang and it was very good. The coconut cream softened the spice, but it was still plenty spicy. The shrimp and coconut combination was particularly good.
Pei took really good care of us.

Ordered mussaman curry and received panang. I like panang so that’s okay but this was bad. There was no flavor so I could only tell it was the wrong curry by the toppings. Curry was watery.

We just moved in across the street and were excited to try Thai Orchid given the reviews. We ordered take out and got the Pad Se Ew with Chicken, Thum Yum Chicken Bowl, Pra Ram Loungsoung, and the Thai Orchid combination. The chicken in the combination and Pad Se Ew was dry and it tasted like it had freezer burn. The noodles were overcooked, Pra Ram tasted like straight peanut butter and the rest of the food had zero flavor or seasoning. Thai food is one of our favorite meals and I’ve never had worst Thai food than what we ate tonight. We had a few bites of each dish and then threw it away, complete waste of $70. Go anywhere else, don’t waste your time or money.
The red curry was delicious
