Chose restaurant due to proximity to show I was attending. Was disappointed with menu. Was very limited with mostly burgers and sandwiches/wraps as entrees. All four of us ended up with same salad with a protein. Was predictable but fine. Cocktail options were heavy bourbon/rye. Surprised the breadth was limited here too.

The Asbury is a hidden gem in the heart of Charlotte. We had guests from out of town for brunch and we all had a wonderful time. The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious.

Me and my friend had dinner before a show at Belk. We had the pre-fixe dinner and everything we ate was delicious. Caleb, our server, was so sweet and attentive. They were short staffed but he still made sure we had our food in a timely manner and our drinks were never empty. I'll definitely be back and will ask for Caleb!

The Asbury is in a fix right now because the hotel of which it is a part of, the Dunhill, had a water main break so it is currently unoccupied and they are feverishly working to clean it up. That being said, the food was good and not expensive. The service was excellent. You can't do much about the ambience when in the adjacent room (the bar) there are cables everywhere where they are trying to clean up this disaster! For our purposes, grabbing a quick bite to eat before going to hear Ketanji Brown Jackson, it was perfect. The Carolina Theatre is across the street. We parked in the hotel's parking deck and they even validated our parking ticket! It's really the perfect place if you're going to an event at The Carolina Theater.

Went to the pre-show three course meal in conjunction with the play “Immediate Family”at Blumenthal. The chicken was fair. The potatoes had no flavor whatsoever. The broccoli being broccoli needed quite a bit seasoning. Overall, the meal was disappointing and overpriced for the amount of food that we received, in all honesty will probably not eat at the Asbury again Bottom line go to the play skip the meal!!

I haven't been to the Asbury in years. Me and my friend wanted to go some place different. The food was great, service was execellent. This was a great lunch option uptown. Looking forward to my next visit.

Always a lovely meal before a theater play. The food never disappoints. The staff is attentive to time constraints. A short walk to the theater. Parking is so convenient.

The dining experience was quite enjoyable, with delicious food that showcased a variety of flavors and high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming environment that encouraged relaxation and conversation. However, the service could use some improvement, as it was satisfactory but lacked the attentiveness and promptness that would elevate the overall experience.

The service was fantastic, our server was attentive, pleasant and engaging. We really enjoyed her! The food was average, not bad but nothing outstanding, the desserts were not made in house and you could tell. We will go back because of the service and the proximity to the theater.

We had the nicest dinner for 6 after we attended a show at the Blumenthal Theater. We had never been there but would highly recommend it. The service was excellent, the food delicious and presentation was fine. It was a 3 course special themed to the play. We thought that was good marketing on their behalf. I had no trouble making the reservation and they were prepared for us when we arrived.

We drove to Charlotte to have brunch with our son. This was a great place to eat with delicious food and a quiet environment. Look forward to dining here again.

The food is good, though nothing extraordinary. It's classic American cuisine with decent flavor, but nothing that really stands out. The prices are quite reasonable, so it wouldn't be fair to expect anything more elaborate. The decor is pretty basic and even a bit outdated; the place could use a little extra care—maybe some improvements or a small investment to make it feel more inviting. Other than that, everything was fine: service was quick, polite, and friendly.

Food was great, and the service was exceptional. Everyone we interacted with had good energy. Our server, Vetta, was the best. Would return again just for her!

Opentable Diner

It should not have been a surprise to the kitchen that most of the folks at the 5:30 seating were going to shows across the street at either the Blumenthal or Carolina Theater on a Saturday night. Our server was very nice, but the kitchen was SLOW. We barely got out in time for a 7 pm show. (1 1/2 hours!) That said the food was excellent with the shrimp and grits being some of the creamiest I've ever had and my husband's burger was good too.

Excellent pre-theatre evening. Excellent food and wine. Even more EXCELLENT SERVICE. We'll definitely do this again sometime soon.
