Our dining experience was phenomenal! We were celebrating a birthday and our server, Adam was outstanding. He was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and we will consider returning for a special event in the future!

Honestly, I hate to write this review, but it's time The Capital Grille knows just how much they have fallen! We took our daughter for a celebratory birthday lunch and there was much more wrong with this restaurant (which we have frequented many times in the past) than there was right with this restaurant. What was good: 1. Easy to make a reservation on Open Table. 2. They provided a nice touch of giving us a sampler of deserts with a candle for our daughter's birthday along with a hand written note (nice touch) and some happy birthday confetti on a table when we arrived. 3. The service was good. Attentive and pleasant. What was bad: 1. This is a steakhouse. We had 4 in our party and two of us had the fillet. It honestly was not very good. It was seasoned OK but the cut didn't seem to be at the standard a steakhouse like this should be. 2. We had several starter salads and I guarantee they were made either early in the morning or the day before. The lettuce was wilted!! GROSS! 3. The Decor of this restaurant is SAD! It is very dated with a hodgepodge of things in it. As mentioned earlier, I have been here many times and they have done almost nothing to update the facility. They have the same sad, fake flowers and giant vases (dirty) along with random modern artwork on the walls that do not match the decor....which also include random huge animal heads. The bathrooms are old and dated as well..... very disappointing. I know they make enough money as a corporation to update their restaurants at least every decade or so.   As a patron if I am going to spend the kind of money that you spend at this kind of restaurant for lunch or dinner, I would like to see the company make an effort to update their facility and have better quality food. Not sure I will come back here again for a very long time. There are too many other options in the city to pick from.

Outstanding > was seated seconds after arriving @ 6:00pm. Our waiter's assistant provided water quickly. Our waiter Anthony arrived next, a very pleasant introduction. Took our drink orders, brought bread to the table, and asked if there were any questions about the menu. We selected our meals, enjoyed our drinks, when our meals arrived, we were very happy with our meals, drinks and service.

A delightful evening at the capital grille Food was excellent, presentation and pace of dinner perfect and our server was top notch. Present when you needed him but allowed us to have time and space to enjoy our dinner Wine list was extensive but a suggestion might be to add the ratings on the wines. We have dined at a restaurant that does it and it makes you willing to try a wine you have not heard of.... We researched the list before we came In order to find a wine we had not had and Might enjoy Overall a wonderful evening and highly recommend

Celebrated a coworker promotion and she was thrilled with the experience. Delicious food, impeccable service and a few special touches made it wonderful. My favorite place for lobster tail, yes even for lunch! Steaks, lunch special salmon, and the mashed potatoes were all perfectly prepared.

Our dining experience was exceptional! We were treated like absolute royalty for our special celebration dinner. Tucked away in an intimate little corner of the dining room, our table was perfectly private. From the beginning with a complementary champagne flight to the end with a delicious dessert sampler the food and service were both excellent. Our appetizers, steaks, and sides were cooked to perfection and the lobster simply divine. The total package for a night of celebrating! Highly recommend for a special night out or just some really delicious dining.

Capital Grille is a staple in Charlotte. One of the only restaurants to consistently deliver amazing food and amazing service over the many years we have been eating here. Last night went above and beyond. The card & decorated table for our anniversary, along with the rose and dessert, were so thoughtful and truly meant a lot. Even more was Denica who took the best care of us. Of all the meals we’ve eaten here and all the good service we’ve received, she outshine them all. Thank you for making our night so special!
