Celestial Cakery

Celestial Cakery made our wedding cake (gluten free) in 2022 and it was fantastic! Recently I asked if she could make cupcakes that matched our wedding cake but I needed them gluten, dairy, egg, and soy free- celestial cakery made it happen! The cupcakes were delicious and the service is always great!

Celestial Cakery provided us a beautiful and delicious wedding cake! Not only that, she delivered it to the wedding venue so we didn’t have to stress about transporting the cake! She is super friendly and talented! We highly recommend and look forward to ordering another cake to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary!

Ella did such an amazing job in my birthday cake. I contacted her and included a picture of what I wanted. She executed it perfectly, and even added a little extra pizazz! Thank you!

I don’t have any photos to share yet, but let me assure you Ella’s cake she made for my wedding was absolutely beautiful. It was exactly what I pictured in my head! Ella was so easy to work with from the tasting to wedding day. My (now) husband has Celiacs, so a gluten free cake was important to us. Ella made such a good gluten free cake that you really couldn’t tell much of a difference between it and the regular cupcakes! Not an easy feat. Our guests gave so many compliments on how yummy our cake and cupcakes were, I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone!

Miss Ella Stone of @ellastonecelestialcakery is a very talented cake designer. She made the most amazing 6 Layer cake for our wedding couple. Every guest loved the flavors chosen for each Layer.
I had the chocolate and it was so delicious, the perfect sweetness and moist consistency!

We recently had the pleasure of ordering our wedding cake from Celestial Cakery and it exceeded every expectation!

From the very first tasting to the final slice on our big day, the experience was seamless. We chose a three-tier cake - every flavor we tried was delicious and moist but we ultimately went with the Champagne cake with lavender buttercream , and not only was it stunning in appearance, it was absolutely delicious.

The design was elegant and matched our theme perfectly, we were able to get flowers from our florist for the final touch! The guest are still talking about how delicious the cake was. Our only regret was not saving a piece (aside from the top for 1 year anniversary) to take home for the wedding night.

A special thank you to Ella for her professionalism, creativity, and care. She took the time to understand our vision and brought it to life beautifully. We highly recommend them to help make your wedding day special.

I found Ella while looking for local Charlotte bakeries that offered gluten-free cakes and I am SO happy that I stumbled across Celestial Cakery. The selection she offers is so inclusive, all flavors can be made GF! I have many family and friends that were at my wedding that are celiac/gluten intolerant and they were so grateful they were able to indulge in the incredible cupcakes. Our cutting cake was delicious and look exactly how I imagined. Ella was so wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her!

Celestial Cakery was recommended to my husband and I for our wedding celebration. We are so glad we chose this cakery. Ella is great to work with and created us the most beautiful, moist, delicious amaretto cake with lavender butter cream icing, decorated with fresh flowers.
Before selecting our cake and icing flavors, Ella provided a selection of samples, which my husband picked up and brought home for us to try. Ella met with me to discuss details over zoom to accommodate my busy schedule and really put my mind at ease. I knew we selected the right cakery for us! Ella offers beautiful, affordable, tasty works of art that you and your guests will love! Thank you Ella for making our wedding celebration a memorable event!

I have been very hesitant to write this review, but feel that if I was considering working with Ella that I would want to know this information.
I decided to use celestial cakery for my wedding cake. We had our tasting and selected salted caramel, discussed designs, and everything seemed great. The design I chose is the one on the pink table. This is one of Ella’s previous cakes, so I was confident that she could execute it.

Then my wedding day came. I was busy talking to our coordinator when the cake was dropped off, when I turned around, I thought the wrong cake had been delivered. The design looked NOTHING like what we had discussed. And frankly, it was a cake that I would NEVER have chosen. I disliked it so much that I actually asked the venue to tuck it away and my photographer to not take pictures. This is the second picture of the yellowish looking cake on the white table cloth. We had rented a stand from Ella, which upon arrival she had decided “wasn’t big enough” and mentioned that we should ask the venue if they had a bigger one. When the cake was cut, the flavor was very different from the tasting. And while still a delicious cake, it wasn’t at all what we had ordered. Between the style, taste and stand rental, I was unbelievably disappointed. This was an $850 cake, I really expected more.

I emailed Ella, and was honestly shocked by her lack of empathy. She basically said that she had accidentally mixed up the photos and since the order form said ruffles she didn’t double check. She said that the cake was the right flavor but it just tasted different? And that the stand didn’t seem like it would support the cake (the stand she selected and provided for the cake). She offered a $125 refund to cover the stand rental and design fee.

There was no amount of money that would have made me feel better, nothing will change that I hated the cake and will not have those photos to look back at. But, I was still very surprised by how indifferent her email came off. I would highly recommend that anyone who works with her requests photos before delivery to avoid the situation I found myself in. I have posted her email response as well.

I can’t recommend Celestial Cakery enough! We were on a tight timeline and had left our cake to the last minute–I think about 5 weeks out from the wedding date I was scrambling to find a baker for our wedding cake. Most options were super extravagant, overcomplicated, difficult to book, etc. Ella’s website had her number listed, so I gave her a call, and she put me right at ease. She was able to make a beautiful cake for us, and came in at ⅔ the price of other vendors. It was very important to us that we have a delicious cake with a wonderful texture and interesting flavors—not just something pretty! Ella delivered in that department, our sample box was gone super fast because everything was SO delicious! Working with her was easy and quick, she was always responsive and kind, and the finished product was absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Ella!

Ella of Celestial Cakery made our wedding cake! It was so beautiful and delicious - we picked Salted Carmel cake and Chocolate cake, with Chocolate Buttercream Filling between all layers. Can’t wait to order an anniversary cake next year so we can enjoy it again!
