I went there once and the food was amazing I’ve tried the same food they have here in other places and it’s a 100 percent more flavorful and delicious here. will be coming back even if it’s a 25 minute drive.

Long but necessary! I first want to start by saying had I trusted the previous reviews I would have truly missed out on the most authentic African food Charlotte has to offer. I had my very first taste of Egusi and fufu here with the Jollaf rice and I can truthfully say in my experience there is NOT another African restaurant that compares. My food is always fresh and hot. I have enough to get full and still take home leftovers. I am truly hooked on this place. On days the cooking pot was closed I tried other African restaurants and never received the same quality of food, service or consideration. I now wait until they are open, no exceptions. People go where they feel welcomed but stay where they feel valued and let me tell you, I have received nothing but great service every visit. She even remembers my order and that I do not like meat. She challenges me to try other dishes and have really opened my palates, and as a pickey eater. That’s talent!! You can literally taste the love in every dish and that’s what makes this place so special. I do not leave reviews often but there is a disservice being done here as I read through some of the reviews. I absolutely love everything about this place and if your looking to try good African food, consider forming your own opinion from your own experience.

Me and my girlfriend been coming here since October of last year, we don’t eat meat or fish and this was the first restaurant we found in Charlotte Nc that didn’t cook any of their soups in meat or fish.I must say this is the best African food we have ever had in Charlotte NC! We have been to many African restaurants all around NC and nobody food is as soul touching as hers. I have to say everything is amazing it’s seasoned so perfectly and the customer service is the best we have ever received. I would recommend you guys come here! Everything is 10/10 you won’t be disappointed, make sure to get the Egusi soup or the Green soup with the rice it’s amazing. I took a video of our food I added the pictures below.

Now wonder they been closed down for almost 3 months....Rude customer service and miserable staff how is this even a business... must be a joke the lady working behind the counter yelled at me and told me that i couldn't talk to anyone in the store after I purchased my food and told me I was not allowed back into the store because I was talking with another customer about the experience I encountered with being shorted on a party jollof rice I ordered. I ordered a party jollof and plantains and was only served 2 spoons of rice. But wanted to give me gravy for free I did NOT request for gravy I requested for rice! lol if that the case why notú charge me for the gravy instead of UNDER portioning me on the rice that I paid for. Under portioning and rude and I wouldn't advise any one to eat here! The police was called out because she refused to refund me and made me pay for my food before serving me and they advise me to file a claim through the BBB & file a claim through my bank which im going to do ! U were yelling at me I wasn't yelling at all I was calm until the police came ! I was never escorted out by the police ! I even sat outside to file a claim ! All of your reviews say the same thing UNDER portion and rude SCAM ! U won't be open long and GOD don't like ugly u will see ! U are a compulsive liar all ur customers can't be lying it's literally repetitive complaints about your restaurant

Good place to get Nigerian food. The pepper soup, moi-moi, jollof rice and fufu are highly recommended.

I was curious to try Nigerian food so I was happy to see this place was open…but when I walked up to the lady behind the counter I was greeted with a rude stare and when I asked questions about the food she would answer in a irritated tone. I’m a Hispanic woman who understands there are social culture differences but the negative ones won’t pass here ? No wonder why the place was empty when I walked in. I’ll for sure warn people not to go here.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years , the jollof here is the ONLY JOLLOF (SPICY) I'VE ever tried and enjoyed compared to other African spots. I come when it's slow so I can sit and enjoy my food and the music by myself lol . I'm reading the reviews and I'm confused if they are putting the reviews on the wrong restaurant, because I love it here.. and I have never had small portions ... I'll be seeing you ladies today (me and my daughter might have my husband try it out) this got me hungry ?

No patrons when I went in around 4:30 Thurs afternoon. Don't be fooled the lady that served me was Nigerian andvery friendly. The food was ? delicious.Took mine to go and it was a big portion of family recipe spiicy rice and braised beef. Both very flavorful with a few fried bananas (too sweet to be plantains) that paired nicely with the fork tender beef and rice combo. I hope they get enough business to stay in business. They certainly have mine.

This place was not inviting. The lady in the front was so rude. There was no menu they said when we ask for one. I believe she made up the prices on the spot. She charged me $22 for okra soup and told the young lady right in front of my face that she gave me too much soup, which was not the case at all. The food lack flavor and the beef was super hard, needed to cook longer. The food was over all trash and the portions are very small. We will NOT go back.....please ask for a menu!

Talk about terrible customer service. The lady came to serve me and was chewing while making my plate and instead of apologizing tried to justify and argue with me. Customer is always right. Then gave me attitude when asking about prices. I just come to the conclusion that they do not take well to black Americans to well. Food is very mediocre. The worst African restaurant in town. I should've went to Royal cuisine on East way. The chicken was so hard and dry I'm convinced they are using old chicken. Now I know why I never see people in there.

Customer service was good but we didn't enjoy the food a lot of changes with the taste of the foodhas to be changed. I am very familiar with African food and my husband did not enjoy the food which is Nigerian. Take the criticism and improve versus making excuses.
