The Degenerate is a lively spot known for its potent margaritas and diverse drink selection, making it a popular choice for both brunch and dinner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a helpful and attentive staff that enhances the dining experience. The restaurant serves a variety of creative dishes, including lettuce rollups with pulled pork, pierogies, and a standout duck dish that many hope will return.
With a focus on detail and variety, The Degenerate is a great place for a memorable meal, whether it’s a cozy date or a group gathering. The food is consistently top-notch, with rich and fresh flavors that showcase the chef’s creativity. The kitchen stays open quite late, providing one of the few opportunities for quality late-night food in Charlotte. Many customers have noted that the food and drinks here are better than most high-end restaurants, and the craft cocktails, especially those on draft, are a highlight.
