Particularly for brunch, this is a great little spot. Great food at fair price and usually not that hard to get a table. Very good cocktails and beer list too. The kitchen also stays open quite late which makes this one of the only places to get quality late night food in Charlotte. We get the pierogies pretty much every time.
The only constructive criticism I would offer is- sometimes not enough wait staff when they’re really busy, and I really think the restaurant would benefit from having some booths vs. all tables.

One of the best restaurants in Charlotte for both brunch and dinner! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure you have a fantastic dining experience.
The food is absolutely phenomenal, with each dish crafted to perfection. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty brunch or an elegant dinner, their menu has something to satisfy every craving. The flavors are rich, fresh, and expertly balanced, showcasing the chef’s attention to detail and creativity.
As for the prices, they’re absolutely worth it for the quality of food and service you receive. You truly get what you pay for, and every bite feels like a treat.
If you’re debating whether to give this place a try, don’t hesitate for a second. It’s hands down one of my favorite spots in Charlotte, and I can’t recommend it enough! Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want a memorable meal, this is the place to be.

The pierogis were second only to my grandpas. Loved all the appetizers. We ate them tapas style.

I’m sorry but came here for the first time and nothing was great. I got the lamb pappardelle and it was fine until I took a bite of the crème fresh and it tasted moldy. Not so fresh. I should have told the wait staff but to be honest the person we had was not very accommodating. I’m hoping mine was just a one off.

Late-Night Love: The Degenerate
Since moving to Charlotte, The Degenerate has become a staple in my rotation of go-to restaurants. As an avid concert-goer, I love having a reliable spot for a late-night meal that’s not diner food or fast food. I’ll admit, I only take my closest friends here because I don’t want just anyone crowding my favorite spot and ruining the vibe!
The food at The Degenerate is consistently top-notch. Every now and then, they switch up the menu, but it’s always delicious. From presentation to flavor, they nail it every time. The bar is solid as well, but the food is the real standout. My personal favorites include the Bowl of Chips, Gnocchi, Wings, Brussels Sprouts, NY Strip, Lamb Pappardelle, and Chicken Sandwich.
Special shoutout to the duck dish they used to have—it had me in a chokehold! If anyone from The Degenerate is reading this, please bring it back. Pretty please and thank you!
If you’re looking for an elevated late-night dining experience with a great vibe, The Degenerate is the spot. Just don’t tell too many people—we want to keep this gem special!

Everything we ordered was delicious! We arrived at opening and there were already others waiting. Tacos, Benedict, and French toast were all plated well, warm and very fresh. Parking lot behind the shops is very small, found street parking nearby.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp.

Cute place. Great food! We went for Sunday brunch at about 2pm. The place was only half full. We got the churros (KILLER), the Eggs Benny (amazing hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached eggs, and the Chicken Biscuit (quite good, but not as good as the Benny). The home fries were awesome, as were the mimosas! The service was great. All in all, new fav place!

My compliments all around. We ate several dishes, but I think the tacos stole the show. They were so good I drank a beer. I never drink beer, but it was cause for a celebration. Thanks!

I was hopeful for so much more. The pierogis, deviled eggs, and chicken were lack lackluster at best and the chips were inedible. The lamb and drinks were delicious. My recommendations would be to not fry the dumplings or at least list that they are fried. Not sure why this place is know for them 🤷♂️. Odd to have the insides of the devil eggs taste and have the consistency of hummus. Again recommendation would be to have more of a fat mayo based inside. For the chips I just wouldn’t have them burnt.
Waitress was nice and easy parking. Hopefully the next time we visit we can look forward to a more positive experience.
