We've been to the Muse many times, looked forward to Lilly Hiatt. Walked in and all the damn chairs are against the wall. The front door dude set us up two chairs in the back, which were stolen before we got to them. Somebody had BO so damn bad I wanted to puke. The band was louder than normal. The bathroom was immaculate. We didn't feel like staring at people's ugly butts all night, so we left without hearing Lilly. Another pos Charlotte music experience. oh we got the last parking spot in all of noda for $15.

Great place for intimate shows. The bartenders are extremely nice as well!

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall in an amazingly trendy area

My review might stand out lol but it was too loud for me. We seated near the front at first and I felt the drums in my chest and ringing in my ears when they sing. During the break me and my friend moved to the back where it was a more pleasant experience, for a venue to be that small it was extremely loud. If you are sensitive to loud sounds or might suffer from vertigo like I do , I would not recommend going here for live music unless you sit in the back or bring some ear plugs. Luckily the stage is platformed so you get a good view no matter where you sit.

Quaint, spectacular dive. Excellent service. Very much like those smallish bars from movies.

Lamont Jay

VERY hospitable corner bar, with modern charm and early 90s dive aesthetic!

We went to Evening Muse for the first time to see Kids and Their Computers. It was a great show! Perfect venue. Nice crowd. Good times all around

Their calendar caters to intimate, SSW Americana acts, yet their sound mixing is overblown with distorted bass. I've left shows before with hearing temporary loss, but this was nauseatingly painful.

The bartenders are fantastic! It’s a great place to see a good show.

Honestly this place is a joke. Went to see one of my favorite bands with my friends, the owner was completely wasted, touching the drums of the artist, throwing himself on stage, and even knocked me down with my very expensive camera in my hand. The owner was completely sloshed. Very embarrassing on his part, and made me very uncomfortable trying to photograph the show. I will not be returning to such a careless venue.

Cozy and intimate for the best small venue experience for spoken word and singer/songwriter acts!

This place where I was is not a Evening Muse. Although, the place beside it is where I went, called The Old News Vintage. It's actually a amazing vintage store,. You can get vintage clothes, hat's, name brands like Carhartt, Levi's, Adidas, etc. With the nicest, most polite, 2 gentleman there, that will help you find what you possibly need or looking for, that I have ever meet. I believe their the owners. Very helpful. I got me some Carhartt pants, & my husband got him a Star Wars hat. And he doesn't even wear hats. Anyway, Check it out when you're near, It's AWESOME ??... Good stuff, with great prices...
