Went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Before we arrived we received a call to reconfirm our reservation which I thought was a nice touch. We arrived and the restaurant is in an old but renovated house. With a reservation we were seated immediately. They have a large wine menu. We got the octopus and tuna for apps, the elk chop and Waymo for the main course and the cheesecake and chocolate brownie for for dessert and. Everything was fantastic. Highly recommend!

For a meal costing $370 for two, we expected much more than what we received. The evening began with a glimmer of hope: the Ahi tuna starter of the day was the only dish that met our expectations. However, it was quickly downhill from there. The tuna carpaccio, while edible, was excessively oily. My ricotta appetizer was a study in imbalance, with the ricotta being overly sweet and the accompanying crostini too salty. The spinach salad dressing also suffered from being far too sweet. The main course, the faux filet, was particularly egregious. It was so salty and literally swimming in oil that it was inedible. I simply could not eat it. The service further detracted from the experience. Our waiter appeared overwhelmed and stressed throughout the entire evening, never once offering a smile. Despite the poor service, we still left a respectful tip, but the overall experience remained deeply unsatisfactory. Even the wine recommendation felt like a misstep; the suggested glass of wine was on the pricier side ($35) and not particularly good. While the outdoor ambiance, with its charming trees and lighting, was a positive note, it couldn't compensate for the subpar food, lackluster service, disappointing wine, and the exorbitant bill. We left feeling that we had paid a significant amount of money for a truly bad experience.

We happened upon this gem during a layover after we missed our flight. I would give this place ten stars if I could! Carl went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. Highly recommend if you would like a memorable and special meal. P.S. we want your banana cheesecake recipe!

Our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our evening at The Fig Tree. The elk chop, veal chop, sea bass, and halibut and sweet corn risotto special were all outstanding. The wine list is extensive, although we all enjoyed the wines by the glass offerings, which were quite good. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and upbeat -- very professional! The Fig Tree was outstanding.

My husband and I came in off of recommendation it was our first time in Charlotte and we were in town for a “show”. We were blown away by the service and food! Service from Justin start to finish was excellent. We will definitely be returning the next time we’re in town!

The food was really great with a lot of choices. One thing my wife and I said was you can tell that they make everything in house and with quality ingredients. With this being our first time dining at the Fig Tree but it most certainly will not be our last. We had dinner while the band was there, and they were fantastic!! From the decor to the staff everything was wonderful. For parking you can choose valet or park across the street and walk over. This is truly a wonderful spot!!!!

This place is amazing. Absolute perfection from the first bite to the last. The service and the food are both top drawer. If you enjoy exemplary service with white linen fine dining and a creative, far from stale menu in a fantastic historic environment then search no more. Do not sleep on this place or this chef. Fig Tree is easily one of the top 5 restaurants in Charlotte.
