Absolutely delicious food and outstanding service. The dishes are all plated so well and you can tell they spend the extra time making every meal beautiful. Exceptional homemade ingredients. The chefs passion of cooking really comes through. Very personal experience where you can tell the dishes are all made one by one. We will definitely be back. The service was exceptional as well.

We had a wonderful service with Joël, very professional and gave us a great experience ! The food was delicious also for the flavors in our mouth than the view in our plates; everything was divine with excellent recommendations for the wine. Thanks again for this amazing dinner !

The quality of food and it's presentation were excellent and the service was gracious and unobtrusive.

the food, service, wine was unbelievably good! The bartender is a Somalia understudy and they have 1000 wines to choose from. He was willing to talk me through pros and cons of our purchase across 8 choices. Feels like you're being served dinner in your own massive mansion!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. We never had a bad meal or experience there. Favorite app is the Apple Beggars Purse. A reason to go there. New on the menu was the duck with cherry and pomegranate sauce. Superb. You won't be disappointed if you go here.

Very fun and tasty dining experience. The server, Joel, was incredibly friendly and well informed of the menu and answered all of our questions with great detail.

Attention to detail! Warm welcome from the minute we stepped through the door. Courteous and knowledgeable service. The big star was the food! Everything we ordered was perfect! A great way to honor our anniversary!

Dining at The Fig Tree feels like stepping into a different pace of life, where the entire evening slows down and becomes an experience rather than just a meal. We made reservations for dinner and from the moment we walked into the historic Lucas House, we could tell this place takes hospitality seriously. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and elegant in a way that instantly sets the tone without trying too hard. It’s the kind of restaurant where the lighting, the staff, the pacing — everything — quietly works together to make the night feel special.

The food was exceptional from start to finish. The server guided us through the menu with real insight, describing dishes in a way that didn’t feel rehearsed but genuinely knowledgeable. The elk chop is probably one of the most talked-about entrées in Charlotte, and it deserves every bit of praise. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and paired with flavors that actually enhance rather than overwhelm. The appetizers were just as impressive — the escargot and foie gras somehow managed to be rich without feeling heavy, and it set the tone for the rest of the meal. Even the bread service felt deliberate and thoughtful. You can tell the kitchen has extremely high standards and doesn’t cut corners.

What stood out most, though, was the service — attentive without hovering, professional without stiffness. Everything arrived at the right time, water glasses never hit empty, and we never once had to flag anyone down. Dessert was outstanding as well, especially the crème brûlée, which tasted like something a pastry chef actually cared about instead of something added to the menu out of obligation. It was the kind of meal where you leave feeling satisfied, relaxed, and already planning your next visit.

If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in Charlotte, The Fig Tree is absolutely worth the reservation. It’s perfect for anniversaries, celebrations, or just an evening where you want to treat yourself to something genuinely memorable. This is one of those rare places where the food, the ambiance, and the service all hit the mark at the same time — and stay there.

Wonderful food as always. Banana pudding cheesecake was fantastic dessert. Focaccia bread is to die for.

We were a party of 8 and everyone was impressed and satisfied. Dinner portions are more than ample and include a dinner salad or for a little extra, soup or salad upgrade. Parking is a plus.

Frank

We were disappointed in the quality of the food. Our food was overcooked. Not what we expected. There far better restaurants in Charlotte at this price point. We will not go back

I am originally from California and trying to settle in North Carolina. I decided to take my woman to a romantic dinner and I picked this restaurant on random. I decided to write this review for future customers and for them to decide.
The restaurant parking is limited,
The receptionist was rude and not very welcoming. I came 15 minutes earlier than my reservation and there is no place to sit or wait. Had to go to my car and wait.
I had a nice table and the service was excellent. Both had a ribeye steak. My girlfriend liked her steak and I can’t say I liked it. In fact hated it. It has weird taste because of so many sauces and cheese. Took couple bites and left it.
We both had tiramisu for dessert and was great.
We don’t drink but seem they have great wine selection.
In my opinion, it is too expensive. Be prepared for like $250 to $350 bill if you both drink or even more.
In conclusion, I don’t recommend, I would try other restaurants next time around and don’t think will return.

We enjoyed all aspects of our dining experience at The Fig Tree. We brought friends visiting from La Jolla and they loved the food, service and ambience. The scallop dish was amazing, as were the appetizer and beignet dessert. It was truly a lovely evening!

The waitstaff was exemplary. Attentive but not intrusive. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was elegant and quiet. We will definitely be back.
