This was the perfect birthday experience. The menu on open table is not exactly the same as the one on the website. If you are one to look ahead I would start with the website menu. The Tuna Carpaccio was an amazing starter very fresh and the vinaigrette served the right amount of mustard-like tang. The seabass was my Husband's meal it was incredible. My main course was the Veal Chop, I opted for spinach instead of asparagus and what a great choice. The spinach with the chunky mash and the flavor was incredible, if you like your meat very tender and you like your steak medium I would say have the veal medium-rare, I chose medium and it was overcooked but still great. 10/10
Th food and wine are always exceptional at Fig Tree. Depending on the other guests, the noise level can get elevated. Service was excellent.
Our overall experience was excellent! All the Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Carl whose knowledge and capacity to explain food and wine items was unquestionably superb. Great wines, the foie gras poêlé accompanied by apple chutney and a small piece of some wonderful bacon was outstanding. The spinach salad could not be better. The fresh oven baked smashed garlic purée for the bread superb. For main courses, the Elk was good. On the other hand, the grouper left something to be desired. Although I it felt fresh, it was the manner in which it was cooked. It seemed it was poached and left in the steamer for some time, thus making it tough and tasteless. I would put less capers on the risotto and again felt it was not prepared at the moment, thus not alive and grainy, although I liked its taste. In all, loved the ambiance and the cozy old house where the restaurant is located.
Fantastic visit. Excellent menu, food was even better. Service staff were knowledgeable, courteous and professional. They made our visit very enjoyable. Looking forward to seeing them earn a Michelin star.
Mediocre food, awkward service. Way overpriced. Completely unremarkable birthday dinner for my gf after a $300+ meal I was left feeling “taken”. Filet with gnocchi had only one dimension of flavor - butter. Niche was tasteless. Foie gras was a disgrace. Seabass was flavorless and mashed potatoes were completely flavorless/watery. I can think of a dozen places I would go before the fig tree. Whoever the chef is, replace.
Don't let this place go under the radar like I did. The service is non-pareil. The food is original and made to perfection. The entire staff was amazing!!! This is the kind of “old world” dining experience impossible to find in our world of chains and hospitality conglomerates. Highly recommend.
One of our faves and it did not disappoint! Christi and Delaney were fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. The food is out of this world - we'll be back!
We love The Fig Tree Restaurant! The food is always amazing, service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is lovely. Their wine list offers a myriad of options for the wine lover. We enjoy celebrating our special occasions there and would highly recommend them!
Dinner exceeded our expectations. Perfectly cooked. Even the salad was very tasty. We loved every bite we were served.
Our first time, won't be the last!! We were greeted warmly at the reception area, service was prompt, friendly, engaging & knowledgable! Food was excellent, prepared & served with enthusiasm & the portions were generous! The setting was intimate & warm, with different “vibes” depending on your mood!! Highly reccommend!!

Everything was amazing. From the greeting when we arrived, until we walked out the door. Food was exquisite on every level, and the service outstanding. We felt so at home. Thank you for having us...
Everyone in our party of five enjoyed The Fig Tree dining experience. The food was great, the service outstanding, and we could converse without shouting. In other words, everything was wonderful. P.S. My veal chop was delicious—perfectly cooked!
Service was fantastic but food was a let down. We got the stuffed calamari and it was just basically chorizo - tasted cheap and something you'd get at Taco Bell, my wife got the fish on special which was great and I had the elk which was okay. It was overly peppered imo but the sides were bad and tasted cheap.
Excellent experience. Every part from the atmosphere, to service to the food quality and presentation. All was very good; spot on. I look forward to returning.
One of the finer restaurants in the city. There's a reason they have been open for 20 years. We want for my partners birthday and he was thrilled with how they treated us.
