I get a cappuccino every time I come in, and it never disappoints! The quality is always consistent, and the espresso has such rich, smooth notes. It’s genuinely delicious every single time. Easily one of my favorite spots for coffee.

The atmosphere of the place seems great. Lots of places to sit and outdoor seating. However the cold brew doesn't taste like cold brew, but coffee that was brewed hot and then left to be cooled down. It's just not very good and a bit weak as an iced coffee.

I also had a weird interaction with an employee who asked me to hand the menu back to him, without explanation, and then placed it back down on the counter where I picked it up from. I could understand if this was the only menu, but he then placed another one on top.

So I guess you can't look at the menu before you start your order? Which seemed a bit odd.

Anyway, not horrible but I don't have any reason to come back.

I love this spot. Welcoming, trendy(but not contrived), nice selection of wines and treats. Great place to WFH during the week, with ample space to sit and lovely spot for off-duty hangs as well. The coffee is great and staff are super friendly.

What a great coffee house, wine, beer and cocktails. Such a lovely aesthetic and cozy comfy and neighborhood (Noda)atmosphere. We loved it and the huge ‘Cinnamon Roll’ plus a perfect ‘Flat White’ ♥️☕️♥️ what a great start to this day !!

Consistently best espresso in Charlotte (at least on par w/ Hex). Can get a little busy.

My book club regularly meets at Hobbyist as it is an easy central location for us. I’ve loved their coffees and iced matchas, but the real treat has been their Sunday mimosa deal! It is always pleasant atmosphere inside and is a joy to visit for a catch up with a friend, book club, or to have a solo day!

Very busy when I came around noon on Saturday. I had the Ube Vanilla Latte which was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Baristas were friendly and the decor was cute. Definitely not a place to go if you’re in a rush, but the wait was worth it!

Best coffee in Charlotte. I've visited coffee all over... Portland (stumptown, heart..), NYC, verve in CA, 3Fe in Dublin, screaming beans in Amsterdam, houndstooth, patika, in Austin TX and many more...
And this coffee is comparable to the best shops I've tried.
I question why this shop isn't on anyone's radar except for how convenient it seems for NoDa traffic?

Really good whole milk latte. Beautiful latte art: a swan! Barrister was very welcoming. The music wasn't too loud. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside.
There is a parking lot behind the building.

Awesome spot for an evening of amazing music from The Cosmic Collective, when I was there, and a friendly and quiet place to chill when there's no live music.
