My book club regularly meets at Hobbyist as it is an easy central location for us. I’ve loved their coffees and iced matchas, but the real treat has been their Sunday mimosa deal! It is always pleasant atmosphere inside and is a joy to visit for a catch up with a friend, book club, or to have a solo day!

Very busy when I came around noon on Saturday. I had the Ube Vanilla Latte which was one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Baristas were friendly and the decor was cute. Definitely not a place to go if you’re in a rush, but the wait was worth it!

Best coffee in Charlotte. I've visited coffee all over... Portland (stumptown, heart..), NYC, verve in CA, 3Fe in Dublin, screaming beans in Amsterdam, houndstooth, patika, in Austin TX and many more... And this coffee is comparable to the best shops I've tried. I question why this shop isn't on anyone's radar except for how convenient it seems for NoDa traffic?

Really good whole milk latte. Beautiful latte art: a swan! Barrister was very welcoming. The music wasn't too loud. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside. There is a parking lot behind the building.

Very quaint and the barista was friendly as could be. About half the crowd on a workday had laptops, like myself. I ordered a decaf coffee and am 98% sure it was not decaf, but still really enjoyed my experience and would go back

Hobbyist serves some of the best coffee in town, but what really makes it stand out is the atmosphere. Every time I walk in, there’s this cozy, welcoming vibe that makes it hard to leave. Whether you’re there to relax or get some work done, it’s the kind of place that feels great every time you visit.

Such amazing quality coffee and vibe here! Got the cortado and a spinach and cheese pastry warmed up and I was very impressed! The quality of espresso is top tier and the service was incredibly nice.

I really love the environment of this coffee shop, it’s the cleanest compared to others but I just don’t feel welcomed.. no matter how much I try to shake off the feeling. Idk if it’s because I’m black or what lol I caught this barista just mean mugging me as I was innocently studying!! This isn’t the first time, a few months ago I was at the bar studying and the barista said indirectly you know you can’t sit at the bar if you aren’t buying anything( well how about y’all put up a sign!!!)I’m on a very low sugar diet so I don’t want to buy drinks all the time..but I have supported so many times. Sometimes I just want to get out the house and be productive. Idk I feel sad about this but I may not return.. they need to work on making people feel more welcome. Maybe this should be a members only club or a social club if they are going to make people feel unwelcome for just coming to work.

Parking: Parking can be tricky if people pull out of the lot weird. It's between the two buildings, the back lot. You might not see an arrow indicating the turn if a car is blocking it.

This place is nice coffee shop in Charlotte with a wine shop inside. So after you finish with your coffee you can then shop for a bottle of wine. The lavender vanilla latte was good but the lavender flavor was too subtle. But the the service was great and the space itself is really great. Very calm and refreshing atmosphere. The price was around $7.00. Inflation What can I say.
