I had to take my dog to the emergency vet down the road and I was so stressed out while he was under care there that I didn’t want to drive.. so I walked myself down to the hot shop grill for lunch. They were very welcoming and kind, excellent service. I ordered an all American burger with fries and they gave me a free drink! The burger was delicious, home-cooked fresh. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for take out only. No place to sit and eat but that’s ok because the burger was excellent. Service was five stars too.

There is no atmosphere to have. Take out orders only. They do have a few chairs to sit in as you wait. But let me tell you abt., those cabbage and grilled chicken with Mac and cheese. Baby, go and try for yourself. Oh. They offer free drinks with your order. I thought establishments had stopped that many years ago. The food was a,okay meaning it was good.??

The ladies are fantastic and them fries I believe are the best I've ever had! Grabbed 2 chili slaw hot dogs and they reminded my of my dad standing by a grill on a summer's day and once you get that taste of the homemade chili... Shhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!! All over! The joint is poppin'!!! ?????

Myself and my boyfriend ordered the double cheeseburger and both of our burgers were not cooked fully, they were pink.. for the price there's no way it should have been undercooked..

I had the most wonderful salad there today. It had lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and grilled chicken with a Greek dressing on top.

If we could do this without even selecting a star we would! They take the orders over the phone and we repeat it to them, when we get the food it is not what we ordered. Example: Ordered a Grilled chicken sandwich, no mayo, lettuce and pickle ONLY. Sandwich had tomatoes, (which I am allergic to) and missing pickles. Orders onion rings, received very soggy fries. Disgusting. My boss got fried okra that resemble left over and reheated, plus she got Four onion rings that were not cooked all the way. She didn't order onion rings, I did. This is the second time we have picked up and the orders were not correct and the food was bad. Other co-workers have experienced the same thing and they no longer order from there. Well today was our last orders from our place of business.

We used to be regular customers at the Oakhurst Grill so I was excited to try the restaurant as the Hot Shop Grill. Disappointed beyond belief. The food quality was poor and the portions were beyond small. I actually weighed my 1 lb. of BBQ and, with the container it was under 13 oz. The handful of fried squash and okra were lukewarm, and I sat and waited for the order to be complete. The potato wedges I ordered came out as cold fries. I cannot in any way recommend Hot Shop Grill and I need to find another place to get my vegetable plate.

New ownership unfortunately. Food is completely over priced and not good. We've tried to support this take-out only spot but the quality and quantity has diminished. Employees are unprofessional, rude at times. Mr. C's, Oakhurst Grill, Hot Shop grandfather from Wilmington would be disappointed.
