Wow. First off service was very southern and hospitable. The waitress made an effort to check in and give suggestions as it was out first time. She even went over the different sauces that were on the table! The food was great as well. Our appetizer was the chicarrons and they were still sizzlings, so extra pints on that. We got a meat bbq platter and the salmon meal. Both had their fare share of salt but I enjoyed the experience of North Carolina bbq. The aesthetic of the restaurant also makes this place memorable. You have the history in the building and nice spot in the center of town.
Great food, great atmosphere!! The manger Cameron is very attentive, caring, and friendly. He suggested the pork rolls and they were AMAZING!! The sauces to dip them in were phenomenal and paired very well. The improper ceased is such a tasteful salad. I recommend the green beans and collards. You will love them! I can’t say enough good things about the cleanliness of this location, the flavorful food, and the amazing service. They also have amazing merchandise which I bought!Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options, but they also have an amazing platter that you can fill with a bunch of sides that are vegetarian.

Our server, Casey, was wonderful — warm, personable, helpful. The food was really good. The collard greens, sweet potato casserole and hush puppies were exceptional. Really enjoyed the pulled chicken and spicy green beans, the mac and cheese was ok, but wouldn’t order the smoked tofu again. The bathroom was super clean. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely return.
Amazing food, as usual. Our go-to crowd pleaser bbq with out of town friends. Gyasi gave us great service tonight, checking on us several times and making sure our food was spot on.
The food and portions were perfect. My first alcoholic drink (pineapple basil lemonade) was not prepared as described due to not having part of the ingredients and I wasn’t informed when I ordered. The cosmo and jalepeno margarita were fabulous. The nachos with chicken were a great start, but the pork egg roll was OFF THE CHAIN. We both enjoyed the charcuterie sampler, but the ribs were a bit dry and overdone. Six sauces to choose from ensured we both had a few favorites. We are full as ticks with leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We will be back.
Had the salmon and beet salad with brisket instead. AMAZING! Thanks Gyasi for a great experience!

Very pleasant experience and thank you to Gustavo! Their menu is very impressive! I had the pork egg rolls, pulled pork, pulled chicken, mac n cheese, collard greens, and the apple and cranberry cobbler! Everything was amazing!
