Great food. Nice place. Burrata and Octopus was amazing starters. Salmon was right on medium. Potato's and cauliflower as contorni was also amazing.

For a medium pizza it's overpriced and also more burnt then toasted, didn't reach the expectations i had for such an expensive medium pizza.

Probably sadly won’t be returning. :( portions have gotten so small, used to be much bigger and better quality. Our service was incredibly slow. For the price you will pay, there is much better locally.

First time guests last night. Saw the recent negative reviews but decided to make my own assessment.Turns out they’re accurate.Service was sub-par. None of the staff looked like they even wanted to be there. Our server for some reason seemed irritated at what all of us ordered…why? LolThe meatballs looked and tasted like they were frozen from a bag. The sauce was alright though.Bread and “great olive oil” was far from great. The Caesar was dry, and had 1 little anchovy on it. Pizza was ok.The cacio e Pepe was wayyyyy undercooked and the cheese clumped (cheap ingredients)And all of it was definitely overpriced for the quality. However, the octopus was probably some of the best I’ve had in awhile.I like the open kitchen but I still wouldn’t go back.

I absolutely love this restaurant!!!! I have two critical suggestions based on my experience and my friends agree. Just to think about. The pancetta bits taste like pieces of rubber The salad with the fried chicken has an almost un-eatable batter and is burned black and has no taste. Other than that- the food is definitely delicious!!!!!!!

I don’t recommend The Jimmy. The $25 personal pizza was way overpriced. The $26 pasta with mushrooms reminded me of a bag pasta from Costco. No taste and I was happy that the portion was microscopic. Wait the dessert was the worst of any I was served in any restaurant ever. Don’t ever order the tiramisu crème puffs. 4 small balls on a powdery plate ($14). What a waste. I would give The Jimmy a zero out of 5. Sorry to say. Eric

Excellent, bright dining for lunch, Excellent Wait staff, Hadley, recognized me from dining there a few days before & actually called me by name! Was asked by other waiters if we needed anything. Food taste delightful!

I am not sure if it was just an off night but I was overall disappointed by my dining experience. Pros: Decent wine list selections, pasta dishes were tasty Cons:staff was polite but not friendly, seating near the kitchen was noisy and chaotic, felt very rushed, limited menu options available-we were told they ran out of bread. I get running out of a dessert item or specialty item but how does an upscale Italian Pasta and Pizza restaurant not have bread? They also ran out of our dessert option after we had ordered it so we decided to go elsewhere for drinks and dessert and had a much better experience at a different restaurant. Overall the experience did not justify the price. The pasta was good but you can find better dining experiences with similar quality of food elsewhere in Charlotte. I had heard really good things so I don't regret trying it out but would not go back.

My friends and I had a birthday celebration here in early January. My friends enjoyed their food, but I personally think the food was average. We were having a good time up until we were asked to leave. We did nothing wrong. We just wanted to chat after we finished our meals. I had never been asked to leave a restaurant before. We were told that they were going to need the tables, but there were literally several tables available. It was not a busy evening. I will never return or recommend this restaurant to anyone. Would the owner like to explain why we were asked to leave and then stared at us awkwardly as we were waiting for my friend to use the bathroom?

We love The Jimmy, not only for the food and the atmosphere, but also because they truly take care of customers with allergies. The host, our waiter and the manager all took time of reassure me of the care they took to keep my food safe from nuts. It makes the experience so much more comfortable. And the cocktails are always great!

I called at 6:20 and said we were on our way. Nowhere to park and arrived at 6:33 and didn't hold my table. We were seated in the noisy outdoor patio. Not a good impression from my friends visiting from Atlanta. I won't be back for a very long time if ever!
