The Asian general manger John was very hostile and racist when I had a complaint. I almost thought he was gonna attack me he was extremely hostile. He had his hands my face and didn’t even let me explain the issue and just started yelling at me. Please don’t spend your hard earned money here with a racist as the general manager.

I was visiting Charlotte nc when I got there I went to place a pick up order at 9:30pm keep in mind they close at 10pm so I still order the shrimp boil with a six piece hot wing I receive my food at 9:40 so when I get to my destination open up my food shrimp boil looked very watery and there was no flavor at all they wing had no sauce on them I was I was very upset because by than they were already close. So next day I give them a call just tell them about my experience I spoke with a young lady. I asked to speak to a manager. She said the manager was not around so she asked me for my name and phone number. I provided that information. She said the manager will be there on Friday so I decided to wait. Didn’t hear anything from anybody on Friday so I called up this Saturday spoke with Nikki ask for my ticket number she asked for the check number I provided that information. I told her my experience how the food was very watery. It didn’t have no flavor and I was very upset so Nikki said she will have that manager that was there that night give me a call back later that Saturday . This was Saturday still have not heard from anyone now I’m back at home and I don’t live in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am very disappointed in juicy crab.

I’m a regular here at this Juicy Crab.. whether it’s dine in or takeout. I haven’t had a bad experience until today with their new shift lead Jon Cheung. As I was waiting to be assisted there was another gentleman behind me (Caucasian). I had been waiting there much longer than he, but their shift lead came to assist him first. Not once did he ask who was here first? Who was next? Nothing. When it was my turn he just looked at me. Didn’t tell me “how can I help you?” Or not even a hello. So I stepped up to the counter and said I’m here for my order and my name is Ashli. Then he has the nerve to mock how I said my name. It’s 2024.. you can tell when someone is mocking you or just want clarification (especially if there’s a language barrier). He rang me up, slid me my bag across the counter and walked away. No thank you, have a good day or anything. If this man continues to service this juicy crab they don’t have to worry about me coming back.

Ordered Togo and the crab legs were old, so old that they stuck to the shell, the corn and potato was as hard as a brick and the sauce had so much salt that it was inedible..

However, when I first walked into the store, my energy level was beautiful, and I guess the manager didn’t like my energy level and she accused me of being high out my mind and on drugs. Furthermore, to insult me even further I was sitting a couple chairs away from her, and she was asking everybody else about me, instead of asking me about myself. Therefore, I believe her to be very judgmental and not accountable because once I asked her exactly what she wanted to know about me she cowered out!

I really don’t think she needs to be in a managerial position because who does that as a manager be presumptive and disrespecting her customers.

However, the staff outside of her was great you know brianna ? and Kevin made my day along with Miss Nicky. They reeled me back in With acceptance and laughter and great customer service I even had a conversation with Kevin and Brittany and they gave me feedback so outside of that manager whoever her name is the spot was lit and I loved it.

Parking: It was plenty of parking and it was a great location with everything that’s surrounding the area plenty of access to retail, convenience, shopping, and etc. The University Area juicy crab was OK with me. I just had that problem with the manager and that was it. I have been coming back here every since.

My Go-To Spot for a Seafood Fix

When I need a seafood fix, The Juicy Crab is my go-to spot. I'm a huge fan of crawfish, and I can always count on them to have it fresh and flavorful. While they’re best known for their seafood, don’t sleep on the wings—especially the Juicy Wings. Trust me, try them and you’ll be thanking me later.

This place does get pretty crowded on the weekends, so be prepared to be patient for a seat. But it’s worth the wait. They often have drink specials too, which is a nice bonus. If you’re craving seafood and a fun, lively atmosphere, The Juicy Crab is the place to be.

Music is vibing and sets the mood. They have good service even when they seem to be short staffed, they take care. My experiences are consistent and I will continue to come back. I haven't met everyone but I can speak for the staff that has waited on me. Bre the bartender Fernando bar tender/server. Xa the server and Nikki Randolph the manager.
