Very disappointing meal for an out of town visitor. Neither ribeye steak was cooked properly and the asparagus was basically raw thin strands. Salads were woefully over priced. Service for the venue was subpar.

Atmosphere and service were top notch, drinks were excellent, and dessert was delicious. But the rest was very disappointing for the price. Both the Prime NY Strip steak and the Prime Ribeye steak were chewy. I have never had such chewy/tough prime steaks as these. At least they were cooked correctly (medium rare and medium), so it wasn't an "overcooked" issue. The pimento cheese beignets were basically hush puppies filled with the cheese sauce from a box of Mac & cheese - the sauce was incredibly viscous and did not give pimento cheese vibes at all. The roasted fingerling potatoes were not crispy at all, and incredibly bland. And the asparagus were extremely woody, not tender at all. (They were all very thin, which means they came from older asparagus plants, because younger plants produce thicker and more tender asparagus.) All in all, $300+ later, we made the most of our evening, but we both agreed that we would not be returning for anything except drinks and dessert in the future.

Amazing!! Exceeded our expectations! It's great to go to a restaurant and experience not only good food but outstanding services from absolutely everyone! We loved our server who truly made the night extra special with a little story of the famous Moms cheesecake and the amazing staff he works with! That says a lot of the restaurant when the staff works happy in a place a serves with the heart and a smile! I would definitely come back every time I visit NC! Thank you!!!!

Three happy couples were really enjoyed in this restaurant on Oct 9th, 2025. Atmosphere is a great, interior is beautiful, food is delicious, service is the best! Our server Kelly was so nice, helpful with choices, paid attention for every details and took a great pics for us! Our private cabin, table was so amazing! We will definitely come back!

We have been here twice now, and I didn't know if the first time was a fluke, but we were more that happy with everything about our experience. The food is exceptional, but Jackson (our waiter who we had the pleasure of serving us both times) was incredibly intentional and remembered us from one visit months prior. He was incredibly kind and is the reason I wanted to leave a review. Love this place!

We are new to the area and this was our first experience at The Porter's House. The saving Grace for this place is the service. Our server was amazing. By far the best service experience in recent years. The food was good but I would not classify it as amazing or an experience. The thing that really soured our experience was the atmosphere/ambiance. The place feels like a mid level steak house trying to be high end and failing miserably. The menu and pricing do not match the vibe.

Inattentive wait staff. Food was mediocre and both our steaks were overcooked and chewy. Cocktails were good, but the cabarnet wine was not. All in all a very pricey sub par dining experience. We will not risk dinner there again.

My husband and I went to celebrate our 6th anniversary last night! We had such a great experience. They had an anniversary card and rose petals waiting for us at the table. It was very thoughtful and romantic. The service was impeccable. I don't think I ever took more than 3 sips of water without it being refilled. We both ordered the Prime Ribeye Medium and it was hands down the juiciest and most flavorful and perfectly cooked steak I have ever had in my life. I'm still dreaming about it! Overall it was a great first experience and we will definitely be back to celebrate special occasions! Thank you for making our night so special.
