Quentin was wonderful at creating cocktails based off my palate. Visit was such a memorable experience.

My husband and I enjoy popping in for late night cocktails. The martinis are quite good. The food menu selection is limited and not satisfying. Our server, Quentin, is nice but was not attentive. He did not offer water, was very slow to remove empty glasses, did not provide napkins with our appetizer or bring napkins when we asked for them. The view and room vibe is great, but the limited menu and spotty service has us rethinking about a return.

I don't get it... not a "rooftop" bar. Looks like a hotel room converted into a bar. Overpriced drinks and AWFUL service. Went downstairs and got a drink at the Ritz lobby bar where the service came with a smile. Don't waste your time or money.

Hey family! I've had this place bookmarked for a while and I finally went on an adventure to try it. It's inside the Ritz Carlton on the 15th floor. It's funny because I know I looked lost when I walked in but someone showed me where the elevator was and I went right up. I was slightly confused because it looks like an office space but a hostess was there to greet me. I looked around and I got there around 5:30. There were only two people sitting there so this was perfect. I love when I get to talk to the bartender and staff. I had a lovely conversation with Kelly who is like the head mixologist and sous mixologist Quentin. They were absolutely fabulous and a joy to talk to. They have a drink of the week and the one I had was called Grapes. I don't think the drinks have fancy names but I learned the ingredients are hyper sourced and fresh. They have very good cocktails and they range from $12-$18. What I've learned is that these cocktails are nothing to play with. You only need about 2 so you're getting your money's worth. The star of the show are the punches. So they have about 4 or 5 and I tried the Carolina punch which was great. So they are meant to share because you can get about 3-4 glasses out of it. You can get a bigger size depending on your party. But they come in something that kinda reminds me of a fish bowl I've had in New Orleans but it's classy lol. If I didn't have any other drink 1 person could probably drink one by themselves. So I will try it next time. The host Mimi was also phenomenal. She was so sweet and made my experience really fun. She also gave me recommendations on things to try. I liked that this "speakeasy" had food because you definitely need something while you're enjoying your drinks. I definitely appreciate that. It's a very relaxing atmosphere and it feels more of a IYKYK type of place, which I don't mind. They just reopened in August and I hope that more people come and experience it. There is a bar in the lobby but if you want something a little more quieter, chill, and vibey, please check it out. It's definitely Instagram worthy if that's your thing. But they get an A+ and I can't wait to go again.

We wanted to end the night with some craft cocktails and this was across the street. Great ambiance and music. Awesome staff. We were given some complimentary fried okra which was delicious. Drinks were very good.

The Punch Room is back open with Kel Minton at the helm. The punches and cocktails are delicious and very well curated. Try it!!

Great place to meet and catch up with friends. I've had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. Prices that are reasonable. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I liked.

Food/drink: 3/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 4/5 I was visiting Charlotte from NYC for a weekend and was really excited to come to The Punch Room in the Ritz Carlton Hotel. I really appreciated the New York speakeasy vibe of this place. The exclusive entrance was great and the interior design was done well. The issues came with the service and especially the cocktails. I paid NYC speakeasy prices for drinks that were average, one-dimensional, and uninspiring. I'm totally okay paying high prices for cocktails, but only if they are good. And if you charge highly for a drink, it better live up to it. Presentation was perfect, but both cocktails we ordered tasted like something you would get on a Ruby Tuesday happy hour for $4. Drop the Beat was so overpowered by the beat flavor that you couldn't appreciate a single other unique flavor in the drink and Matcha Do about Nothing was so sweet I couldn't focus on anything else. We also ordered food between 10:45-11:00pm on a Saturday night but we told that the kitchen was closed (even though it clearly states on their menu it closes at 11:30pm). This would be expected for a restaurant attached to a 3-star hotel, but this kind of service for a Ritz Carlton speakeasy is unacceptable. I think people should really think twice before visiting the place. Hopefully they make some changes and improve in the future.

My wife and I stopped for a cocktail prior to attending a concert on Sunday evening. Typically you find some of the best bartenders (mixologist) in the upper level hotels like the Ritz, and certainly do expect excellent beverages when spending $20+ for a martini. Unfortunately the two that were on Sunday evening lacked skills not only as bartenders, but also in customer services....and the martini’s were so bad we left them! We won’t be returning to this location, but still do enjoy several other Ritz Carlton locations, especially Kapalua....

A super nice lounge hidden on the 15th floor of the Ritz Carlton and looking into the middle of Uptown. Limited to a small size of people and thus intimate setting. The drinks are good and the sweet potato tots were amazing.

Another one of my favorite watering holes in the city. Not sure it's exactly an home by the nice decor they have but I am always bringing friends that are visiting the Queen City to this place. Try to get there early on the nights when they are open as sometimes the wait can be bit of a turnoff.

We stopped in for some cocktails straight after work on a weeknight. We arrived the minute it opened so we were the first to take a seat by the window. It was definitely giving me 'old world chic' vibes. My cocktail was $20 (see picture) which I think was the most expensive drink I have had in Charlotte. Hers was $18. But hey, this place is located in the Ritz Carlton Hotel so I guess I should expect that? They gave us complimentary snacks- macaroons and this unusual tapioca thing on a metal stand (see picture). So that softened the blow of the drink prices for us. Would go back if the moods suits.
