I had a terrible experience at Q Shack. First off, they didn’t even have water available, which is pretty basic for any food place. On top of that, the employees acted like they didn’t know how to do their jobs—confused, unorganized, and unhelpful.
To make things worse, the person I’m assuming was the general manager gave me an attitude for no reason and didn’t even bother to ring up my order properly. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful.
My friends also had horrible experiences during the same visit, so this clearly wasn’t a one-off issue. Overall, bad service, poor management, and not worth coming back. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

The staff are great from beginning to end. The food was delicious. We had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich, ribs and brisket all were delicious. The brisket stood out as it was hot and juicy. The ribs and pulled pork were a little on the cool temp side.
Consistently pretty OK. Brisket is normally pretty good, although sometimes a bit dry. Seems to really depend on when you go. Place is never very busy. I have never really had anything bad there, but never anything that just WOWd me either. Sweet potatoes are pretty good . I continue to go there every once in awhile to get some things I dont typically get elsewhere. Charlotte is lacking in BBQ, and at least this place exists.

We ordered the family platter, which saved us $7.50—so of course I added a 1/2 lb of brisket. After a 6-hour drive and a full day of hard work, The Q Shack was the perfect reward. And the banana pudding… the ideal ending to the meal. Absolutely delicious. 😋

Fast and friendly service. Great pulled pork BBQ. I added the Ghost Pepper hot sauce (just a bit) and it added excellent flavor with a little NC vinegar sauce. Staff behind counter came to my table and offered another hot sauce since they noticed I picked a hot one. Very friendly and courteous!

Truely Blessed
We needed a quick stop on our way home and love to try new places! However… The bbq, hush puppies and fountain drink was ok. The chicken and sides however less than par Cole slaw was bland and chunky and had no flavor Potato salad bland and no flavor The chicken had a big gristle and that made me gag Pictures are below for you to reference Oh and my mom’s “baked beans” was pintos nothing about them was baked beans unless they baked them to cook them!

Great people, and yowsa those beans are good! I had the pulled chicken and tried all the sauces (mustard was my favorite). I also have to comment on the collard greens, which I'm typically quite picky about, but these ones were fantastic. Also loved the hush puppies; a hint of sweet, a hint of salt, and super yummy.
Really enjoyed our first time at The Q Shack! Great food and even better staff made for an awesome meal. Highly recommend!
