I had high hopes because I had tried a lemon donut from here that was purchased and brought home before, but this time around the shop was nearly sold out with only two donuts to choose from and one fancy pop tart. The place smelled like a lot of cleaning supplies. The employees seemed really disinterested. The Halloween decorations were also not family friendly, kinda over the top but I understand that’s a matter of taste. Now I know Saturdays are probably long days for them in busy south end, but they were still set to be open for another hour or more and had a dozen people in the place. The “vibes” were basically what I would do if I were in the service industry and wanted everyone to hurry up and get out. Hopefully I can try it again and get a better experience, but I really think right now there are better locally held options for donuts and cafes.

The Salty has amazing customer service! Fun to go and look at the beautiful donuts. My problem unfortunately is the coffee. I asked for half sweet and it comes extra sweet. I tried again the next day and asked for half-half sweet (just a drop) and again it came full sweet but sweeter. I would have asked for another but too much time. Also my Moms latte was barely luke warm. I can’t go a 3rd time:-(

Although we arrived within the last hour before the store closed, the doughnut was absolutely delicious. The young man at the counter was still gracious enough to serve us even though we interrupted their closing duties. We got the White Chocolate Pistachio and it was fantastic! I can't wait to return to try many of the other offerings.

Greeting Antonio is part of my morning routine! Even when I am all scrambled in the morning and mess up my coffee order he reminds me what I like to get. He is kind, attentive, and besides the coffee the reason I come back! Whatever you are paying that wonderful man, double it bc he is worth every penny. He makes it feel like a neighborhood and Salty would not be what it was without him. Thanks for the great coffee and warm company!

One of the best donuts I’ve ever had! The place itself has a great aesthetic and the coffee (Americano and double espresso) was excellent. We got the strawberry shortcake and lemon ricotta bombolini. Absolutely worth the price!

Light and fluffy donuts! Flavorful as well. I got my dog the doggy donut and he absolutely loved it! The worker said it's sugar free with peanut butter, yogurt, and water. Will definitely be back!
I love finding places on my runs. The Salty made my morning run. Can’t beat an awesome doughnut and good latte. The brown butter glazed doughnut was tasty and surprisingly silky when eating. When holding felt dense but when eating it was a moist and silky eat. Lovely!
