I am ashamed of this once beloved bar this bar has a history of being racist and trans phobic just recently they let a Trump supporter into the safe space for the LGBT community and allowed someone of the trans community to be violated and attacked by this person do not support this venue
Bizarre staff create an intolerant environment overall.
Terrible service. Rude people. Drugs everywhere. Fights always break out, and someone stole my phone out of my pocket on the dance floor. I heard they will detain and beat you if you are a Trump supporter. Terrible representation of the gay community. I will never go there again.
Gray and Cherokee were awesome bartenders. Atmosphere is awesome. Go see them.
I finally had the pleasure of visiting the new Scorpio’s this past weekend, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. Emily crafted one of the finest Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had and made me feel incredibly welcome with her warm and gracious demeanor. The space is absolutely stunning, especially with the holiday decor adding a festive elegance. I loved the variety of bars, each offering its own unique vibe—it’s perfect for choosing the atmosphere that suits you best. I’ll most certainly be returning. Thank you, Scorpio’s, for an exceptional evening!

Eli is the most amazing person in this bar! Great service great drinks 10000/10 for Eli❤️
TLDR: It feels like a really nice bar. Not a club. To ME. Which might be what they're going for. But I gave three stars because that's easily fixed if they want to fix it. Maybe Pride weekend wasn't their weekend to eat it up. I really do believe in the vision. But I want to dance and smile more than drink and wink, you know? Maybe it's not for me and that's not a bad thing.
I want to start by saying: There's nothing wrong with them leaving freedom. There's nothing wrong with new patrons. There's nothing wrong with new demographics. It's a business. People are gonna come in. That's how it works. I don't think they sold out. I don't think "the money changed them." Just so I'm clear. We can get lit with anyone, anywhere.
I think the energy is off. I went for Pride weekend this year. First time in the new location. They've got a parking lot. Door price isn't bad. They'd resolved the drinks price after complaints. The venue is also very pretty with the same idea of the original of more than one space with a different themes and music. The staff are polite and respectful and the venue is clean. Period.
But the experience was lame. The music was lame. The energy was not good. If I can be a little petty, why was there no live DJ for pride? Or maybe they came later. If they did, excuse me. The playlist was not it in EACH room. My friends and I went to each space. A lot of house and EDM which is not BAD!! It's just...if you see the people not moving, switch it up, right? Please? The upstairs was just men in polos and khakis which is fine but the music was low and NO ONE was moving. The main dance floor; we're standing still. The red themed space; we're standing still.

Great new club in Charlotte! It’s nice to have such an upscale place that is open to everyone.

Great spot to drink and dance. My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday night and it was full of people. There were lots of women but it was still probably 75-80% men. Drag show was fun. Drinks were a bit pricey for average pours. We will definitely go again next time we’re in town.

I will not be going back. I heard the club was back open so I came to see what the new vibes were...even after reading the reviews. This club sucks, songs were old and trash ..very much gentrified. I love the drag shows but this one was boring and not enough room/space like the old Scorpio had. I miss the old Scorpio it was the best club I’ve EVER been to ( music was turnt, had a lot of space, drag shows were on point and interacted with the crowd, never a dull moment. Everyone was turnt, happy, and dancing). This new Scorpio will never be like the original. We need the old Scorpio back ASAP!
My friend and i frequented scorpio in their old building but this new location ain’t it yall might as well change the name because it’s not same completely different crowd and music and u now have to pay for parking
the drag show has always been eh the queens just walk back n forth not really giving much, taylor swift and country music in the club is crazy definitely gentrified as others have stated , we didnt even stay long enough to try drinks as we were just shocked and turned off, real unfortunate can’t say i will return
staff was really friendly tho
Loved Scorpio’s at the old location, new location looks great but is very gentrified and non-ethnic; apparently “urban” night is Thursdays instead of being inclusive throughout the weekend. Staff is extremely kind tho

Not a fully inclusive space for queer women or potentially POC. It’s primarily for gay men and straight people to see drag shows. The recently "improved" location has been tremendously gentrified and honestly don’t waste you’re time trying to find parking because drinks are small and expensive. Staff are rude and potentially discriminatory. They also lack safety measures to protect the community, I just personally do not feel safe here.
