THERE WAS A TOE NAIL IN MY FOOD. I REPEAT A TOE NAIL. i will never be coming back here and that was the most foul experience i have ever had at a restaurant in my life.

I got the Fried calamari, the spicy mayo was creamy, not too spicy, and delicious. The calamari was perfectly crispy and the batter was amazing. The hibachi was full of flavor. I highly recommend this place! The portion sizes for the hibachi are gigantic. I definitely will be coming back.

TinTin firmly holds its place among Charlotte’s top contenders, not only for its exceptional fried rice and udon noodles but also for its delightful sushi offerings. No matter which combination you choose—be it the fried rice with chicken, steak, shrimp, vegetables, or any mix thereof—the quality remains consistently outstanding. The fried rice bursts with flavor, each grain imbued with the unmistakable essence of a well-seasoned wok, while the house udon noodles, cooked to perfection, deliver a beautifully balanced profile enhanced by just the right hint of onions and peppers.

Adding another dimension to its culinary repertoire, TinTin’s sushi deserves special mention. The sushi is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and precision. Each roll and slice is a harmonious blend of fresh, delicate fish and perfectly seasoned rice, crafted with both artistry and attention to detail. The presentation is as refined as the taste—elevating traditional flavors with subtle modern twists that leave a memorable impression.

The restaurant’s crab rangoons are yet another highlight, arguably some of the best in Charlotte. Their crisp exterior and luscious, creamy filling pair flawlessly with a house-made sweet and sour sauce that masterfully balances tang and sweetness. However, despite these high points, the hibachi offerings fall a bit short in comparison; they often lack the bold flavors and finesse seen in the other dishes, playing second fiddle to the remarkable fried rice, noodles, and sushi.

Overall, TinTin’s diverse menu not only showcases its expertise in Asian fusion classics but also shines in its execution of sushi—a must-try for any discerning diner. Stop reading and place your order; your palate will be thoroughly rewarded.

Literally the worst experience ever ordering food. Whatever you do don’t order food for takeout through Uber or a Third Party. Absolutely nasty. My drink was forgotten about by restaurant and courier. I called two times when I realized what happened. 1st time when I saw I didn’t have a drink , then second after opening the bag. I ordered a chicken dinner, that I didn’t know came with so much fluid that it spilled out the bag onto my floor and the pictures of the bag are what’s left after it spilling. The guy on the phone yes polite still was getting irritated I was asking for customer service for my messed up order. Absolutely nasty work, I hope the next customer is treated differently.

Sushi was just mediocre, squid salad was super bland and a little “off”, The calamari tasted like it was fried in old grease, was over cooked and not edible. $80 for two meals that were wasted is a bummer.

We came here for chicken/steak hibachi and sushimi, one of the lesser experiences I have had. The meat was rubbery, the raw fish was not good and some pieces were even brown. The rice was also fake and old, and even the ranch tasted sour. On top of it all, it isnt cheap, and the restaurant is still setup like we are in the middle of covid. Overpriced, bad food, and the only positive would be that it wasnt a very far drive. I wouldnt ever consider coming back, seeing as this is my second time here with the same results.

I used to rave to everyone about this place but they have really gone downhill over the years. Food is still decent (hibachi dishes), but service is nonexistent. When you go in, they act like they don’t want you there & are confused as to why you’re there. They want you out as quick as possible. I still go here every once in awhile cause the food is decent enough (but pricey). I just really wish they were more passionate about what they’re doing but maybe that’s too much to ask for some reason. Side note, don’t ever get the crab rangoons… save yourself the disappointment.

Great buy one get one free sushi rolls (if you call it in), always made fresh. No more indoor seating since Covid, which is unfortunate considering how pretty the inside is. Very fast service and good prices. The hibachi dinner special is a good amount of food for the price. I’ve been coming here for years, definitely recommend if you are wanting take out at a reasonable price!

Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian sushi and spring rolls, or you can have them take off/substitute the fish to make it vegetarian.

I’m upset because I did not receive my carrots and I asked for my food to be well done and of course it’s not well done at all and I do not live close to the restaurant. The lady acted as if she was trying to rush me I repeatedly told her I wanted my food well done and she acted like I was the problem but now she should know why i repeated it so many times because Im trying to avoid this problem. It is my fault for not checking before i pulled off but really should I have to do that?

I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. I can’t believe that their steak noodle soup came out as INSTAN NOODLES…. Why are you selling INSTANT NOODLES in a RESTAURANT? Selling for $12? Ridiculous!
