I didn't know they have food because it's such a great place filled with really cool, kind people. A great pub that should be in every neighborhood everywhere. Greatest live venue in Charlotte. It's intimate.
No food to be had here but plenty of great times and really friendly atmosphere.
Small dive pub with friendly staff and great prices
My second favorite bar in Charlotte!
Tommy's is a true punk/dive bar - everyone is welcome, the crew give a darn about their customers and the shows! So many free shows! Music, karaoke, open mic, burlesque - follow their social media to see what's going on.
No food served here, go eat first then hang out here!
A slice of home (If your frome wisconsin.) If your not, go there to experience Midwestern hospitality at its finest! Good drinks, good prices, good vibes!
Tommy's pub is a local gem and shining example of a great regular bar that captures the energy of what Plaza used to be.
Now, please ignore this and never come here so the locals can keep it to themselves. (Joking)
Had a ton of fun on goth night, will definitely be back.

Tommy’s is the perfect little traditional dive. There’s nothing pretentious about it. Just a friendly local Irish style pub. The staff are friendly, helpful, and sometimes delightfully cheeky. And the regulars there are very welcoming.
They regularly host some of the most interesting events in Charlotte. They have a plethora of talented live musicians performing there. They have Shindig every month where they play retro music from past decades - a different era is themed each month, from the Sock Hop all the way to the Oughts. And (during the warmer seasons) they project a classic movie on the side of the building. People show up with their camping chairs, blankets, and snacks (it’s super cool!)
It’s also worth mentioning that there’s another pleasant hidden surprise for people who don’t drink or who limit their alcohol intake. Tommy’s has the best non-alcoholic beer and cocktail selection of any bar I’ve ever been to. I love that I can switch to an NA beer later on, to make sure I’m safe to drive home.
They do not serve food there but there are plenty of nearby restaurants, and the regulars just eat their takeout at the bar. There’s even an excellent sandwich place conveniently located right next door in the same shopping center.
If I lived closer, I would hang out there all the time.
Parking: Tommy’s is at the far end of a sizable shopping center near the Chef Store. There’s always ample parking close to the bar.

This bar is an unassuming gem w good people, good music, and tons of character.
Places like this are hard to find and even harder to create - please don’t come here and ruin the vibe!

Restaurantji Recommends
Probably a great spot for locals, lot of people recognizing the moment they got in. Clean restroom. The DJs equipment took up as much room as the dance area. So very few people dancing.

Tommy's Pub is one of my top favorite places to be ANYWHERE. Absolutely terrific ownership and staff, outstanding prices, and a fantastic casual and welcoming atmosphere. They host free events almost every night. Great location, too, with lots of free parking and restaurants in the shopping center. They strongly support other local businesses and local music. TEN STARS!
