Today I bought 2 almond croissants and a couple of other items. Firstly, the other items I purchased were just fine. They needed to be heated up anyway so I have no complaints. But can I tell you that the almond croissants tasted very much about 2 days old!!! I’ve had day-old bread that was much fresher. These things were NOT fresh and I am super unhappy about it. This place is super cute, with great customer service…but the dry hard pastry should not be a thing. Especially at the price point these items are being sold at. So please do not respond by saying the pastry was fresh…because if these were fresh then there is an even bigger issue at hand, because they were dry and hard. Like all the buttery moisture had just dissipated. Even the almond filling was dry and brittle. Just utterly choke-worthy. Let’s do better yall! And just to see if you guys do better, I will return and purchase the same items. Just giving you guys a heads up because I want to sing your praises…but I will absolutely tell the truth.

During my last two visits, the customer service was terrible. It wasn’t overly crowded, yet I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by wanting to pay for my pastries. Also, the sliding glass doors were wide open, which isn’t great for food safety.

Visited the location this morning for pastry and a latte. The pastries are always delicious. Unfortunate, the customer service of the associates/employees at the register and coffee bar could better. The employees demeanor need to be improvement with coaching from the owner how to interact with the customers. Also the microwave was not working, no signage was in place to let the customer know it was not working.

I sent them an email a few weeks ago letting them know that the sliding class door on the pastry cabinet needs to be replaced. There is only one sliding door, leaving the pasties completely exposed and susceptible to gnats which I saw on the pastries when I was there. People leave their tongs inside the cabinets which is unsanitary and the employees do absolutely nothing to maintain its upkeep. I haven’t gotten a return email and the problems still remain. I will not be returning until this is resolved.

They either don't pack all my items, give me the wrong and cheaper cake, give me incorrect change back, or the wrong coffee order.
By now, I must believe it is on purpose. Go somewhere else if you want honest service.
One girl was nice. The other two are just grumpy every time.

The pastries and other bakery items at this establishment are deserving of a five-star rating; they're simply delicious. However, the overall atmosphere leaves something to be desired. It's odd that while they don’t warm your pastries in an oven, there is a microwave available in the dining area for you to use. The cleanliness could use some improvement as the overall area was a bit dirty. The staff appeared somewhat confused as well, though I'm not sure why. Despite these issues, I plan to return, but it's clear that there are areas in need of improvement.

I found out about this bakery on my visit back home in MN. I was so impressed I had to find a location near me here in Charlotte so I was very happy to learn Charlotte has a few locations. I live near this one so I came and checked it out on Christmas day with my sons. This was their first visit. Overall it was a very nice Christmas day treat. We all enjoyed our pastries that seem to have just the right about of sweetness in them and that's what I love most about this bakery, you don't feel guilty about indulging in a sweet treat because it's not overly sugary. They have other goodies as well that aren't sweet so if desserts aren't your thing you can still find something for you. The only thing that I don't like is they don't heat up your pastries but they do have a microwave you can use in the dining area and also my latte wasn't hot enough for me. It was like as soon as I picked it up from the counter it was already warm which is weird as I had literally picked it up as soon as she finished making it so idk if they're machine was faulty or they just don't use the hottest setting or what but when I order coffee I like it hot, I do not like cold or room temp coffee at all lol and I understand not serving it extremely hot but I should feel some kind of heat when I'm drinking it lol.

Customer service is unfortunately terrible. Whether it’s on the phone or in person they are very rude and so unprofessional. Very unfortunate as their cakes are delicious!
Terrible customer service. Waited in line behind 1 lady around the cake case and there was a sign regarding bakery items to not stand in front on the case but go to the register to order your items so I moved to the checkout line. I get to the register and the cashier informs me that I need to go back and wait in the new line that has formed to the door. We tell her we saw the sign and just wanted 1 cake. Mind you we were supposed to be next in line since I was there before the new line formed. The cashier proceeds to address the next customer and does not even acknowledge me. I will not be returning to this location.

I want to preface this review by saying a. I hardly ever write reviews and b. The other times I’ve eaten at the piedmont location have been very good. However today I came in and purchased two croissants and an Ube latte. Before i purchased the latte, i tried to pleasantly ask the cashier have they tried it before—to try and assess how good it was. Her only response was—the 2 times I asked was “do you want it hot or iced.” I purchased the drink—and didn’t drink it until I got to my car—and it was not good at all. I would use the word disgusting. By the time I made it home—I was physically sick. Today’s experience wasn’t a pleasant one—regarding food or customer service.
