My first time in, Ms. Annette greeted me with a smile! She walked me through the sauces and made sure my first experience was great! I will def be trading my chipotle bowl for this great food and customer service ☺️☺️

I don’t often review places but had to here as I felt the rating of this place was grossly misleading. The food came out with missing parts of the order… which is whatever. But the food was terrible. The chicken was bone dry and couldn’t get my teeth through it. Overall every item of food was sub par which was disappointing as the menu looked very promising. Can’t say I’ve trashed my food before until now.

After returning home from a long hike in the Uwharrie forest, my friend and fellow hiker suggested a healthy dinner at "a place he'd been wanting to try". We found Tropical Grille to have a welcoming atmosphere – clean, organized, and with inoffensive music played at a reasonable volume.First impressions out of the way, we turned our attention to the menu. TG doesn't have a huge menu, but nearly everything offered looked like something worth eating. Unfortunately, even healthy food becomes unhealthy if you try to eat 5 or 6 dishes at once. ? So we decided to act like normal people, and each settled on a single entree selection – my friend the chicken vegetable bowl; me the carne asada bowl.The wait time for the food was a bit longer than expected, but deemed "worth it" once the food arrived. We each ordered "regular" bowl sizes, but were surprised to see how large they actually were! I would imagine two adults could easily share a single large entree. Better still, our food tasted great, and the sauces available were a great addition. (The garlic chipotle suggested by the charming Ms. Annette was especially impressive!)All told, we left full and feeling refreshed, excited to return in the future to try different options!

Tropical Grille University⭐️ out of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️So I hit up this “healthy alternative ” food spot yesterday for lunch/brunch. MY first time patronizing. They advertise healthy eating. If by healthy they mean write my own obituary then so be it. I was so sick I swore off all food. Forever. I was nauseous for 9 hours. I had maybe 3 tiny bites of their salmon bowl and it wasn’t nasty but something didn’t taste quite right . . . Thank GOD I didn’t force myself. If you’ll excuse me I’ll go back to sipping my lukewarm water and try keeping it down. Tomorrow I might consider a saltine cracker.Update: I called the store today and was advised that it was highly unlikely that something I ate from there made me ill AND that there WAS a stomach virus going around. I so appreciate the lack of empathy- I mean feedback.In essence judge for yourselves!!You’re welcome!!

Had the Cuban sandwich. It was oily and just ok. The place seems clean, but the floors are so so greasy. Super slippery. Tread carefully.

Stopped in for the first time recently to pick up dinner, and TG didn't disappoint! Staff was pleasant and the service was amazingly hospitable. Food was really fresh, and even though I was getting take-out, I noticed that the restaurant was very clean. Will definitely be visiting again!

This was my first visit, however I will be coming again. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly as well as accommodating. I had the salmon bowl and it was very delicious ? and filling. You certainly get your money's worth. I can see this being one of my go to restaurants.

This was my first time eating at Tropical grille. The employees were friendly and polite. The problem I had was with the food. I spent about $34 which I thought was a little much because I got a vegan and vegetarian bowl. I didn’t complain too much at first because when you want to eat good you usually have to pay good. My problem is that they didn’t have yellow rice for the vegetarian bowl so we got brown rice for both. The rice was undercooked and not enjoyable for both bowls. My vegans bowl came with cooked corn and it was not good and also kind of undercooked. The only thing I could enjoy in the vegan bowl was the saluted green peppers and onions. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food.

While visiting Charlotte we got our dog groomed at the local Petsmart and decided to try Tropical Grille for lunch... Wow! Staff and atmosphere were great and the food... AMAZING! I had the classic bowl with chicken... seasoned so well and the rice was delicious! The sauces... the Garlic Cilantro and the Jalepeno are staples! Everything is made fresh and so good!!!Shay

I absolutely love this place, the food is fresh and served quickly, the atmosphere is very casual, the restaurant is very clean and invitingI have to give a big shout out to Annette who really went above and beyond checking on me to make sure my meal was to my liking, the staff here are all very friendly but Annette was definitely the shining star today! Don't forget to try their sauces! The mustard curry is excellent.
