Tropical Smoothie at this location is associated with WheelBlockers, a bullying/intimidating parking and towing company. In less than 1 minute, the WheelBlockers employee put a wheel lock on my car when I was right in front of him, he did not give me a chance to move my vehicle when I realized my honest mistake. Since I had forgotten my wallet at home that day (placed a DoorDash order with saved cc), it took me almost 2 hours to get hold of someone and $250 to drive my vehicle away. Best thing to stop these predatory companies is to stop patronizing any and all businesses that partner or associate with them. Next best thing is to contact the Charlotte City Council as they approve the ordinances. The WheelBlockers employee is also clearly very hostile. I considered not posting this photo because in the big scheme of things he is, sorry to say, a peon in the company hierarchy, but he is still part of the problem.

Re Tropical Smoothie: I ordered the chia smoothie. 7/10

It will be the most expensive subpar food you ever got! They are in business with a criminal towing organization and they will allow your car to get towed / booted without warning . They allow this criminal to sit outside their restaurant wait for you to park and immediately deface your property as soon as you walk inside your establishment. Now they could be a warning on the door to let you know this criminal is working but they don’t because they get a kickback from this criminal towing company . They won’t see me again . I’ll be writing the same review for all of the businesses in this plaza . Stay away unless you have $250+ for some nasty food .

Good smoothies and great collection of fruit bowls.. they cut fresh fruits and make sure we get very nice experience and it is yummy too.

Ordered the green smoothie and the blimey limey on the app and it said it would be done at 10:40am, so I went inside as soon as I ordered. No name was called, no order was called so I waited over 15mins. Normally most Tropical Smoothies will call out a name or place the order at the pick up station, but my order was sitting on the back wall. I had to go up and ask if my order was done. Thankfully it was still cold. If you’re ordering make sure you pay attention to the orders they are making!

This is the best Tropical Smoothie locations I’ve been to! They follow the correct recipes so my smoothie and meal taste the same each and every time. Lastly, customer service is always on point! They care and it shows!

I just picked up my order, I was gone for 1 minute and they put a lock on my wheel. I had to pay $180 to have it removed.

I'd give them 3½ stars because the smoothies are always good. I order ahead in the app so I don't have to wait only to always ending up having to wait anyway. It never fails. Every single time my order has been sitting ready and it takes at least the 2nd person to ask me my name before they find it. It's infuriating. They need a better system. Also, they put the cups waiting to be blended on the same counter that people are standing over waiting for their orders.

On 5/31/2024 I walked into 8948-410 JM Keynes Dr. Suite 410 Location in the University area of Charlotte, NC at 8:40pm.
Several of the workers and the manager looked at me as I stood at the counter so it was obvious that they were cleaning for the night but no one spoke to me, or even acknowledged my presence. After standing right at the front counter for 10 minutes, a door dasher entered and was immediately acknowledged, cashed out and given their order. Still nothing was said to me, at which point I decided to leave them to their cleaning responsibilities. Horrible service, it cost nothing to acknowledge a person standing in your establishment, waiting to spend their hard earned money, even if it was just to say “thanks for coming but were no longer taking orders for the night.” I would’ve understood and gone somewhere else but I will never patronize this location again. The disrespect and lack of customer care was beyond unacceptable.
