The smoothies here are great, and they have tons of options to customize. My whole family loves this place. Their only complaint is that they are pretty slow, don’t come here if you’re in a hurry.

Today, I requested an avocolada smoothie, slaw as my side with a Super green Caesar wrap with the chicken to be chopped due to medical issues (which I shouldn’t have to explain) as I have ALWAYS done when I come since this location has opened. Be mindful there were no other guests waiting to order. I was the only one ordering and two guest eating in the lobby. The cashier was very pleasant and professional. I even added 15% a tip on the cashiers interaction and service. She attempted to inform her team mate preparing the food of the special request. However Ariel was rude and not customer friendly at all as she interjected. Her entire demeanor was very coarse and offensive. She started out with an aggressive tone and body language. Telling me what you all won’t do and don’t do as I attempted to explain that I was just in the store a week or so ago and they kindly took my order with no issues. When I asked may I speak to a manger besides the aggressive tone heightened and my tone changed at that point. I take accountability that I called her a name out of frustration. I told her she has horrible customer service. She stated she was the head manager and there was no one else for me to speak with at the store. I asked for both her name and her managers name. I asked for her manger she mention person by the name of “Stacey” and declined to provide the General managers contact information. The cashier wrote the name down and was unaware of any contact information. I asked why is she so aggressive and to calm down she declined my order and service. I told her this is exactly why she’s working at Tropical Smoothie bc she is has a horrible attitude and customer facing. She told me i don’t have to eat there which I don’t however I can afford to eat where I choose but not with piss poor service. I gladly left. Her only caveat was to say I threatened her because I told her I will follow up with the owner/ manager. As I exited the store, she followed me out to the security which I can say I felt just as threatened. I spoke to him, there was nothing to report. I have NEVER experienced that interaction with anyone ever in that store or any Tropical Smoothie for that matter. Most may have not expressed their experience regarding her. However for my experience and interaction today, she is the cancer to the demise of the company or any company. I have facilitated Customer Service/Guest Experience Trainings from a low to high scale and this is one of the main problems. Please hire a new manager or elevate the cashier. However get rid of Ariel, she is beyond awful.

Staff very welcoming and polite. I've gone in and had delivery both times the smoothies were more slush than smoothie. Not sure if I'll patron this location again.

I was wondering why there’s a very low rating for this location and my visit today provided evidence to that. Walked in and wasn’t greeted by anyone even though I said Hi. No biggie everyone has a bad day. Took my order and just like other reviews have mentioned, super slow service and I was the only customer for the first five minutes. Numerous customers came in after me and received their order. I only asked for two smoothies and two wraps. Charles kept walking past but would never acknowledge and continued making one smoothie. Finally I asked another gentleman who pointed out that my food had been sitting and waiting and Charles should have handed it to me. I love tropical smoothie but would definitely drive the extra minutes to a different location. Lid to one of my smoothies wasn’t on so half of it spilled. Smh if you can I would try a different location because the service here doesnt speak to the tropical Smoothie standards I’m used to with others.

I visited this location this evening and the cashier Serenity had a very welcoming spirit. She was there a couple weeks ago when I came. She is always so pleasant and nice. She made sure I signed up to be loyalty member last time and this time she reminded me to scan for my points. Kudos Serenity!

My experience was wonderful as soon as I walked through the door. Hubby and I were greeted with a huge smile and Welcomed by Ariel. The vibe is very positive and welcoming and I love the music too. Ariel and I had a warm and positive conversation and in the short time I was there, I felt we connected. It may not be much to you but for me it was the highlight of my day. I just wish that I wasn’t charged extra which, was only.50 per item but, I am allergic to 3 of the ingredients and was replaced by 3 other. But overall I highly recommend. And no I don’t know any of the ladies at this location and first time there. Thank you everyone that was involved in taking our order ( can’t remember all the names)and we will be returning as soon as I return to Charlotte 😊
Vegetarian options: I personally only bought the Island smoothie but I did see that you have a lot of options and it’s pretty much like BK, YOU CAN have it your way….. I rule!🤣
Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to almost all fruits and veggies but Ariel ( Manager on duty) made my Island smoothie and I replaced the banana, mango and pineapple with cranberries, blueberries and strawberries! Delicious, healthy and filling!😋

The workers at this location are extremely high and/or stupid and have no idea what’s going on. I placed an online order, arrived 10 minutes past time for it to be ready. It was a smoothie and quesidilla. They brought the smoothie out, but not the food, and I told them there was food with it as well. The worker that brought it out said “it will be out soon”. I waited an additional 10 minutes and watched people that had ordered after me receive their orders. I walked back up to the counter and asked if they knew anything about my food. The worker I had spoken to previously had completely forgotten about me and acted confused because he thought the smoothie was all of my order (even though I told him otherwise and he acknowledged me at that time, he forgot a conversation he had 10 minutes ago). Then, I watched them try to find the order, because none of them had kept the receipts in order or updated the screen properly. I had to show them on my app where I had ordered food because they couldn’t seem to find a record of it. Then they literally just started walking circles around each other looking confused and grabbing random orders. Eventually, we found the order, which had been sitting already done for 20 minutes on the counter in plain sight. However, there was no receipt or any way to identify the order, hence the confusion. The line was not very long but the store was chaotic and people were waiting 20 minutes or more for very simple orders due to the complete lack of organization in this store.

I came here to get a smoothie and had a very pleasant experience. The cashier Imani was very welcoming, patient, and kind. She helped me join the rewards programs and told me about all the perks of coming to tropical smoothie cafe. Her customer service was amazing and I will be back because of her. Worst customer service ever. I ordered the kale slaw and when I got home it looked as though someone had eaten half of my slaw. I will never visit this location again.
I have given this location quite a few tries and for whatever reason if I order online, 90% of the time it never gets completed and I have to wait an extra 30minutes to get a flatbread. Super unprofessional staff most of the time who you can tell do not like their job which is a reflection of the owner and management. Sorry but ya’ll got to get it together here, it’s a mess.

This company has fallen off so bad, well at least at this location. The corn doesn’t have the mayo in it. They’re just giving just regular corn. They barely fills the already very small container and has an attitude if you ask for more or ask for the corn to be made right. There are maybe 2 friendly faces, but everyone else seems angry and like they do not care. The food quality has fallen off so bad since i have not seen the older man and wife that stated that they were the owners. It’s sad. At first, I thought it was a fluke, but every single time I have ordered corn for the past two weeks it doesn’t have any of the mayo in it and it’s barely 3 spoonfuls. The picture below below is just from opening the container, but I’m paying three dollars for it. This is the Cornings place location

Last time I ordered the chicken quesadilla, it was really good with plenty of chicken, but this time it was barely filled halfway through. Very disappointing. The jalapeno corn wasn't as good as last time either, but pairing it with the cheddar Sunchips did help improve it.
