Outstanding breakfast! We had the French toast dish and an omelette and found both extremely flavorful. They're sweet potato home fries are particularly excellent. Parking is a breeze with validated parking in the garage next-door.
The food was so good e told the chef when he came out of the kitchen. Service was slow but I believe that was due to understaffing.
Food was great, but clearly they didn't plan well according to reservations. They hurried us out (and the table next to us) in less than an hour to make room for the next large reservation so they could push the tables together. We were only a party of 2 and there were plenty of other tables they could have sat us so the space would be available for the larger party. We didn't get to finish our drinks so that was disappointing.
One of my favorite brunch spots with a good vibe and wonderful service. If you park in the parking deck, they validate parking for up to a hour and a half.
If you get the grits, they’re absolutely delicious, but be prepared for a large portion. The waitress was relatively attentive, but could’ve been a little better. The huge windows aren’t ideal when the sun is beating down on you. I had the grits bowl & the eggs were cooked perfectly. I’d definitely be interested in going back & trying more of the menu.

Second experience and no complaints! The WWIII and shrimp and grits are highly recommended!
So excited to support a locally owned business and was so disappointed. Hostess seemed bored with her job and not really interested in seating people, not helped by the fact that she was also serving. Coffee bitter and too strong: our server said to me "Ma'am, I don't think you are used to drinking our coffee: we use African coffee". It does not matter what kind of coffee you use, if it is bad, it's bad. Sweet potato biscuit dry. Pancakes so dry you needed to drown them in syrup. When the coffee was bad, I ordered a diet coke instead and was charged for it: which I should not have been. Food not good. Servers seemed stressed and just not worth it. Parking validated only to $15. Still have to pay a leftover balance to exit the deck. Won't be going back.
When it comes to trying new places I looked forward to trying Uptown York and I came all the way from Columbia, Sc. We was seated right away and that was about it. Lady brought us a glass of water. We waited a total of 20 minutes before the server had to be told we was in there section. That was totally unacceptable for me. Why I left before even ordering was the fact that we waited for 25 minutes to get service and the server attitude. As someone that due a lot of traveling and writing reviews plus support black own business I can not get pass the service I received today and will not recommend..

Visited the establishment for the first time and we really enjoyed everything. Started out with the apple cinnamon tea and added honey. We ordered a western omelette with smoked Gouda cheese. Also ordered the sweet potato waffle and the shrimp and grits. The only complaint would be the consistency of the grits, but the flavor of everything hit the mark. I would definitely encourage you to try it out!

Not completely disappointing, but terrible start. We walked in and there was no hostess, so we went to seat ourselves (no sign to wait). The host came out upset and moved us. She then got upset because we didn’t have a reservation (at 10:00 & place was empty). Lastly, there is a random small figurine on the shelves of a person throwing a Molotov cocktail, which seemed out of place and not something that should be promoted IMO.
Shrimp & Grits: Too soupy (and not in a good way). Grits should’ve been served as a cake. Not sure what the green sauce was, but it was garbage. 1 of 5
There’s Fire: very flavorful, but not great. Menu says biscuit, but actually a cornbread cake of some sort. 3 of 5
French Toast: French toast is served with NO SYRUP, and was absolutely delightful. 5 of 5, even without syrup
Bloody Mary: Oddly good. Was a good mixture of sweet and spicy. Kind of a weird experience to be honest. Would only order one though because the flavors literally punch you in the face.

Made a reservation to dine here while visiting from out of town. Very charming spot with great service, good food and an atmosphere with cool vibes... Some of the dishes are very interesting and good! Definitely worth checking out!
Incredible food low prices. 2 meals for the price of one meal at some restraints. Twice the taste per bite than any restaurant. Staff was just as nice and warming as the food. Yummy.

I had heard of this place but never been. Went with friends for brunch and the food was excellent. We had th sweet potato biscuit and gravy, sweet potato waffle, and beef sausage. If you don't like spicy don't get the beef sausage. Everything was so good and the portion size was appropriate. You will have left overs. I got the Wisconsin and a single pancake to go for my husband. When I arrived home he had to warm it up. He said it was one of the best omlettes he's had although he had to reheat everything. You have to eat here!
