If I could give them 10 stars, I would. The food was fantastic. It a sexy spot! Great for a first date or to spice up an old relationship. They even have board/card games for groups. The drinks were spot on! They can make it all... Can't wait to go back...They serve dinner as well. Best fried chicken I've had since moving to NC.

Visited this restaurant for the 2nd time and our first time was not an anomaly! We were celebrating my husband's birthday on a Sunday after Church and showed up needing a table for 8 and anticipated (and were willing) to wait a while for a table. However, we were seated within 10 min - the weather was nice, so we sat outside. Part of the beauty of the restaurant is the music they play, and they have speakers outside, so you don't miss out. Our waitress Sallai was attentive and took good care of us. And the food was amazing. I got the mojo hash (which is steak and sweat potato) with an egg fried hard. The last time I was there, I got the chicken and waffles and substituted the sweet potato waffle and I got a side of grits and that was outstanding. My husband got shrimp and grits which were great and our kids got a combination of chicken and waffles, pancakes, and TN fries. Everything was great!! Love this place, the ambience and the service - can't go wrong

We tried the shrimp & grits and chicken & waffles both were really delicious. Definitely going to be a favorite brunch spot in Charlotte. Bonus: great music playlist + mimosas were perfectly poured.

I recently visited with some friends/cousins and the atmosphere was great! The food was great and I loved the sweet potatoe waffle and potatoe wedges. The shrimp and grits were tasty as well. Our server Jekario was excellent! He was on point and very attentive! A great piece to visit.

Stopped by this eatery during a rainy Wednesday, the environment was a great way to brighten the dreary day. The food and service were top notch. Our bill for a family of four was affordable. We will definitely return the next time we visit Charlotte.Kid-friendliness: Kids meal available with generous portions

The food was so good, I gobbled it down before taking pictures! We ate there yesterday and the sweet potato biscuit has still been on my mind! I had the yogurt parfait and the berries were so fresh and sweet, the house made granola was divine, and the yogurt tasted whipped. I also had the dulce de leche latte. It was the best coffee I've ever had!Of course I had to get a bite of my husband's chicken wings. The crunch and levels of flavor were so well orchestrated!!!Needless to say, we will be back. Our server and host made us feel like family. The fact that it is black owned is the icing on the cake (or should I say the butter on my sweet potato biscuit—lol)!I already have preplanned what I'm going to order next time. Can't wait to come back.Parking: Use the parking app ParkMobile

Food is good, drinks are good, vibe is good, location is fine (parking is annoying, and this is at the end of the neighborhood so it's far from other hangouts), but the service needs some work. Staff is friendly and professional but very, very slow. We were at our table for half an hour before a waitress came by and there for another 30 mins before food showed up; drinks showed up 20 mins after that. I'd go back with hopes that they're properly staffed for the day.
