So sorry you closed! We loved your gelato, the best in town. Hopefully you will open another location. All the best to you both!

Oh, no! Another locally owned business bites the dust in Park Road Shopping Center. Unfortunately, due to PRSC's popularity, Edens can ask steep rent which eventually kills off local talent. Arrivederchi! Va Da Vie. I'll miss you :(

I'm ashamed that I've lived near Va Da Vie for 5 years and never visited. I love gelato...the Hubs loves gelato (well anything that has sugar in it) so we were both ashamed actually. I loved it. The weather was perfect this past weekend to grab some gelato and sit outside on their cute little patio/outdoor area. The place is simple, the gelatos are simple and delicious and service was simple and refreshing. Perfect location in park road shopping center!

Today was my first time at Va Da Vie Gelato. I got the Vanilla and Banana Gelato. It was so delicious and reminded me so much of home! My mother used to make the best creamy homemade banana ice cream. I thought of her with every scoop. Miss you mommy. ❤

I gave it 3 stars because is too expensive for what you get, in means of quantity. I'm Italian and quality of it is good, close to the gelato we have in italy , but in Italy with 3 euros about $4.50 you get a huge cone with 3 flavors, here in this place with $5.00 a small cup that I finished in 3 bites. So thats my only opinion.

WOW! This small matchbox sized store planted in the middle of the parking lot of Park Road Shopping Center is wonderful. About a dozen flavors which the owner says stays pretty much the same are a combination of smooth, creamy gelato and sorbets. It seems heavier than regular ice cream because the mixture has less air whipped into it. More flavor and intensity. Additions/toppings are available, one of which is hazel nuts "from Northern Italy!" Others include Pistachio Paste from Sicily, Vanilla Beans from Madagascar, Chocolate and Cocoa Powder from a 5th generation producer in California and the sorbets are made with 50% fruit content. A bit fancy, but it matches to terrific flavors that they offer. Everything is first class. Small cups determine the price you pay. $4.50 for a single flavor and $5.00 for two flavors. I gave a $10 bill and there was no change, so you can figure that cost out yourself. Wife and I were stunned at how good and rich everything was. I did some tasting of the sorbets, which I usually do not order because they are too icy. Not here. The coconut and the apricot were as rich and smooth as the gelato and just as flavorful. I would not shy away from sorbet at Va Da Vie. Small but full of impact. In nice weather you can sit outside, but otherwise it is a small place. We feel like we really did discover and excellent place to which we will return.

Where have you been my whole lifeee?? If you know me, you know that ice cream is one of my food groups. Stumbled upon Va Da Vie last week when I was scouring yelp for ice cream. Bookmarked it and it has been on my mind since! Saturdays are usually for errands and Va Da Vie was definitely a must on the to-do list! It's the cutest little shop, hidden in plain sight. The second we walked in we were welcomed with the warmth of smiles. One of the staff members and owner gave us a guide through the menu. All of the milk is locally sourced, the fruits fresh (blood orange sourced from Sicily!) and all recipes made in-house! I was beyond excited! They graciously gave us all the samples we wanted, which was perfect for my usually indecisiveness with food.. and especially dessert. I landed on coconut and pineapple, both extremely fresh and flavorful. The coconut even had coconut flakes folded within the gelato! It's a bit pricey for the amount of gelato you get but can't wait to come back!

As I single father of two teenage girls, sometimes I have a hard time relating to them or even finding something to do on our evenings off. On one such occasion, we were driving around on a Friday evening trying to figure out what to do. Almost when all hope was lost, I suggested to just plug in "ice cream" in Googlemaps and hit the closest ice cream shop in the area. Thankfully, that was Va Da Vie Gelato! I've lived in this area for nearly 17 years and am very familiar with the Park Road Shopping Center, yet, I'd no idea this place existed. Granted, the stand-alone building is very unique and hard to miss, I guess I just never paid attention. The girls and I were a little confused when we saw the location as none of us knew what to expect. It looks small when we parked so we figured it would just be a little mom & pop soft-serve type of place. Am I glad we were wrong! The place, although very small, is super clean and modern-looking. There isn't much inside, a counter, a big machine, and a little prep room are all I was able to see. The girl who greeted us was very nice and explained how things worked. As we were deciding, the owner (at least that's my assumption) approached us too and explained the source of the ingredients, how gelato is made, some of the more popular and his favorite combinations, etc. Had a nice chat about the product, which I always enjoy. You have a choice of quite a few flavors, and the man told me they don't change often or they make small variations, but it's a pretty static menu, which suits me just fine. You are allowed to sample before you order, which is always a plus. I went with the key lime and pistachio combo, the girls went with chocolate for one, and peach sorbet and vanilla for the other. We all loved it! The product is a little pricey for the amount you get, but the quality and the flavor truly makes up for it! New favorite for me and the girls!

Absolutely delicious! Cute little welcoming shop with the sweetest welcoming people. You think it's a little cup but believe me you...It's a lot.

If you want gelato with a side of bad customer service then this is the place for you. The owner talks to you like a child then when I asked for a large with all the same flavors the owner said you can't do that?? What kind of policy is that? Go check out a local Italian restaurant or Whole foods for some great gelato because this one comes with attitude!!
