Don’t go here if you’re not a liberal… I took my wife here for our first date back in 2021 but things have changed. Terrible service. Would not recommend, take your money elsewhere

Basic bar food. Atmosphere was fine, but was AC under powered or not working? The bar was mid 80s inside and water was dripping in the booth seat behind me.

Great food! Friendly and funny servers, and an awesome selection. They feature an extensive bar, so you can probably get whatever drink you’d like!
I ordered the beer battered fish and chips and wooowwww it was amazing. The breading was light but thick and tasted kind of buttery while the fish was not overcooked at all.
Their drinks tasted good also. I will be back!

Valhalla was one of my first bar stops when I landed in Charlotte way back when, and it still holds a little nostalgic charm. The place has changed a bit over the years. It feels a little more polished now, maybe even a bit corporate. Like it traded in its battle axe for a well-branded pint glass.
That said, the vibe is still good, the drinks are solid, and our server was awesome. Super friendly, fun to talk to, and kept things moving without making us feel rushed.
It may not be as edgy as it once was, but it’s still a worthy stop for a drink, a bite, and a little throwback to your early Charlotte days. Skål.

Appetizers were good (pretzel bites and spinach dip) but the Falaffel sandwich was horrible. Mushy and gross.. and that was recommended by the server. The turkey wrap was ok.. didn’t even finish it. Overall not impressive at all. Won’t be back.
