Amazing food! I’m not vegan, but I had the J*** Chik’un and I felt like I was eating chicken. The flavors and the texture were amazing. 5 stars from me. I will be back.

Saw this spot on IG many months ago and saved it in my phone since I knew I had a trip planned to the Queen City. We stopped in for dinner and are so happy we did! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant is a nice size and very clean. Most importantly, the owners - Vel and Tree are very personable and friendly! I'm definitely going to try and come back again before we leave town!

This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere is extra chill. It supports another small-owned juice business. If you're Plant-based & miss Bojangles dirty rice...get their rice & gravy?!I think their mac & cheese is my favorite....AND it's all #vegan?

OMD! I have been plant based for over 8+ years, and this food was so good I could taste the love in it.I had the large Soul Plate: the country fried chicken, bourbon bake ribs, yams, potato salad, and collard greens. I am blown away by the Chef's work. I don't even live on this side of town, and I plan on making this a frequent stop (forget the gas prices).The atmosphere is impeccable, and the food is absolutely unforgettable!!

Was in search of some vegan soul food in the Charlotte area, and VelTree was recommended on many a Black-owned restaurants list. I dined in and got the drums w/ bbq sauce, mac n cheese, and collard greens. Came out with a piece of cornbread too!Yum yum yum. The drums — crispy and peppery, both breading and meat alternative having all the right spices. The collards! A nice big serving in a bowl that kept them hot, the juices I slurped up. And the mac n cheese was creamy and delicious. I was planning to take my leftovers to go...and then I finished everything ?Thank you for kind service and delicious, hot food. Bonus: it appears they also host events, fundraisers, festivals. Delicious restaurant that’s involved in community.

A mess. Cannot wait to get back to Atlanta forAmazing Vegan food NC dangerous misses thetarget eye mean not even close. First of all thebacon that's advertised on the menu is not thebacon that you get when you order bacon go figure that. The manager presents an excuse of Covid what does that have to do with the fact that the bacon printed on your menu is not what you're serving wildly confused. Then upon asking for the bacon to be removed from my bill I was just re-printed the same bill the confusion is unsettling. I asked for cheese on my grits, The response was we can see, the cheese was not even integrated into the grits it was chunks of cheese just put on top and on the bottom it was wildly weird. The potatoes and onions were cold definitely not freshly prepared. Biscuit (s) & gravy was not bad however advertised per menu as biscuits and gravy it's one single biscuit lol. Yikes! Certainly not impressed pulled up because it was Black owned. Ended up being a mess do not recommend. Management is clearly incompetent didn’t know how to issue refund on his on POS register asking if he can just give me cash instead of processing the refund, unable to provide customer service she/he said the next meal was free Mam eye will not be returning so that was lost to me like why is this even being said eye’m clearly dissatisfied. It's giving nah. Do not recommend was charged 12$ for biscuits and gravy received one single biscuit. Baffled.

This is hands down THE BEST vegan restaurant in Charlotte. I’ve never had anything here that I didn’t enjoy. The quality of food— and service— has always been consistent, even throughout the pandemic. I was able to meet and briefly speak with the owners, they are such kind beautiful souls. I would eat here every day if I could. Give it a try, it’s so worth it.

DELICIOUS!!! Their Mac and cheese is bomb! And the vsteak has a lot of flavor and just enough crunch to it. The restaurant has a cool vibe and I love the decorations, especially the photographs. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is friendly. I will definitely be taking my non-vegan friends to check it out with me next time.

Easily 5 out of 5 for this place.Service is always super friendly and the food is so so damn good!If you're looking for a more upscale vegan place, check this one out. It's a little more pricey but hopefully most places will understand you don't have to charge an arm and a leg for food that really doesn't cost THAT much to make... I know I'm paying for someone else to make it but some items are very pricey.

Their food is amazing! We got the drumsticks, breaded 'chicken', mac n' cheese, and sweet potato fries.

Food was amazing! Beautiful restaurant. I wish they would send both orders out for couples at same time. Happenex to us and another couple.. Little more training for the wait staff also. Otherwise this place it a great spot for vegan soul food!

The food here is delicious! I have health related dietary restrictions, and most things I don't make myself leave me feeling sick. I've never had something so delicious/flavorful that left me feeling so satisfied and not unwell! The mac 'n cheeze is by far the best vegan mac I've ever had! Veltree has my heart and stomach :)

Great food, beautiful presentation, dope vibes, and friendly and professional staff. Im not vegan but frequently partake in vegan meals. This was delicious. We had brunch "shrimp" and grits, "chic'n" and waffles, maple "bacon". Highly recommend for Vegan and nonvegans.

I’ve been dying to try Veltree for about 3 years now. Thank goodness for the new location in Ballantyne. We were able to experience their first time brunch menu for grand opening weekend. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Yes to the Shrimp and Grits. Yes to the breakfast platter. Yes to the kale ginger lemonaid. Yes to the red velvet waffle. Absolutely love the vibes being played and the layout of the dining area.
